Junior was lovely care taker and an amazing person. He made us feel welcome and was attentive, kind, helpful and we loved staying and would recommend to anyone to stay there. Thank you to Junior who treated us so well it was unBelizable

Sugar patch car rental is a joke across the street. Do not rent from them ever. Wayne the owner rents garbage vehicles, over charges, and charged us for an extra day that we didn’t even use the vehicle. We are still waiting for the refund of the deposit. He was the worst person in Hopkins and many locals and tourist experiences had not a kind word to say about him or the way he does business. There are tons of rental companies around Hopkins go to any of them except Sugar patch.

The property was very quaint and good value for the money. I like that it was more Belizean style rather than American. Inside the room it had everything I was looking for to accommodate my aunts I was traveling with. Important to me was cleanliness, comfort, Air conditioner, WiFi, refrigerator and microwave. Also easy accessible to restaurants close by.

The railings seemed to need a little upgrade with some paint but considering being so close to the beach I could understand. My only complaint inside the room was the toilet seat in the bathroom. The seat was too thin and the seat lid would not stay up. But that’s an easy fix I mentioned to Julian on my way out.

The location is super convenient—just steps from the beach. We really appreciated the free bikes to explore the area and the chill vibe, with hammocks and comfy spots to relax. The air conditioning worked well, and there were plenty of towels, plus thoughtful extras like sunscreen, after-sun, and beach gear. The manager was also very helpful and welcoming.

When multiple people were showering, the water pressure dropped significantly. There’s no real kitchen available if you want to cook your own meals. Also, the central courtyard is quite small, so if neighbors are up early and noisy, you might hear them.

Located one block back from the beach at the Southern end of town. This relaxed place is a good base for exploring the area if you have a car. There is car parking at the front of the property. Rooms are an eclectic mix of different room types, we chose a first floor balcony room with ensuite. Although quite basic, everything works and there is a good shower with hot water. Downstairs there is a relaxation area, and they also provide free of charge bicycles and beach chairs if required.

Only slight downside is the location which is a good walk of around 15 minutes to the nearest restaurants, although there are a couple of breakfast places within close proximity.

This was a great hotel that saved my vacation. I had accidently booked and paid for a hotel room that did not have A/C and I couldn't sleep all night. Even in September, the pool water was too warm. The next day, I found this hotel a block away and right across from the beach! It has nice cold A/C, a huge water container to refill your bottles, a refrigerator, free bicycles and the most friendly and helpful onsite manager, Junior. The price was about the same as my prior hotel.

Mother nature knocked out one of the transformers nearby during a huge nighttime thunderstorm and disabled the free Wi-Fi. But thanks to Junior and the local utility service, things were back to normal by the end of the day.

Staff was friendly, location was nice, very short walk to beach. Food nearby down the street. Clean kitchen and bathroom. Nice porch area to eat/hangout if it's not raining. Pretty safe with triple locks for main door to upstairs, into shared space, and one for private bedroom, was ot worried about thieves.

Roommates in other room stayed in common area a lot so we weren't able to use it too much, both at night and in the morning for breakfadt/getting ready. So not as private as I thought. They weren't obnoxious and were rather nice but still stayed up talking/drinking later than us. With earplugs wasn't bad but without would have kept us up.

There was a 5 gallon drinking water bottle in the room which was not only very convenient but also cut down on our costs too as the container got replaced whenever it was empty and we refilled our water bottles from it and refrigerated them over night. We were located centrally to both down town Hopkins and the tourist resort area. The staff are very friendly, responsive, and generous. Bicycles were available free of charge upon request. The beach was a short 50m walk away. H2V restaurant and bar is also located at the beach front and you can avail of their sheltered seating area/hammocks/swings free of charge. The local tourist resort area beach beds/hammocks/swings are also free of charge so long as you purchase food or drink from them.

At 6am everything awakes in Hopkins so the noise volume is quite high and while I easily adapted my sleeping pattern so it didn't bother me, I could see that it might bother some people.

It was easy to find and the outside patio/courtyard is gorgeous. The room was spacious. The mattresses were kind of thin and you could feel all the springs. The AC, upon checkin they told us had just been serviced, was barely able to cool the room despite lowest setting and continual running. A stand fan would help a lot. The facility had chairs and some swim equipment for us to use to go to the beach, but the chairs all appeared to have mold on them. Our room also had teeny tiny ants everywhere. They didn’t bite or anything. It was nice that ice trays were provided and utensils, plates, and coffee. Overall it was wonderful.

Junior the caretaker is the best! The beds are super comfortable, and it's close to the best coffee shop and gift shop in Hopkins. Fresh water and toiletries were all provided which is awesome as well.

The rooms only have a microwave, toaster/ fridge and coffee maker, so you will be eating out for almost every meal that isn't pre-packaged. Junior the caretaker, actually helped us out by lending us a hot pot to cook a little bit with, but there isn't much space to do cooking.

Great spot to stay in a relaxing town. Junior the Manager looked after us and made sure we were happy everyday. The bikes at the property were super handy and our room came with a fridge and cutlery so we had our own breakfast each day. There’s even a friendly cat named Henry that makes the place feel very homey and pleasant!

There needs to be a sign that designates who is responsible to feed Henry each day!
