The location was great - the view was terrific - our room was wonderful and looked out across the beach to the ocean! We enjoyed walking on the beach everyday, it goes on for kms. We enjoyed borrowing the free bikes and going for a ride every morning. The Paddle Wheel restaurant was very nice, and had a great location, with open doors to an ocean view. The Big Dock and covered hut was great - really enjoyed it for ocean watching and moon gazing.

The beach had ocean trash on it every day, that some days was raked up, but most days was not raked. The Paddle Wheel Restaurant was too expensive to use for all our meals. The Big Dock was great for jumping off, but the swim-up ladder was impossible to climb back up on!

I loved everything about this property, the staff were incredible, the food, the facilities... we had the best stay ever. We would highly recommend, 20/10 stay at the Colonial. Chris looked after us the whole time we were there and we saw him make an effort and look after all the guests, he always went the extra mile. Captain Larry was also really kind and insightful- he always went out of his way to make recommendations and check we were having a great time.

There wasn't anything that we didn't love, you must stay here

the facilities: use of kayak/Paddle board/bikers, the dock, the bonfire with the marshmellows, the pools,.. we were never bored. and the beach was beautiful. it was very comfortable and clean. it was nicer than the pictures

fyi: snorkelling at the beach was not great (you couldn't see anything). it's only possible with tours when you are more in the sea. + we loved breakfast (fry Jacks and burrito) and lunch (burger etc) but we found the dinner top expensive and not that great.

The location and property were beautiful! The nicest beach I’ve been to on the coast of Belize. The dock to jump off was fun! And the dock bar was cool! Lounge chairs were empty and hung out all day! Beautiful views everywhere.

Our room had things left from prior guests. Every light had its own remote which was quite a task. Some were burned out including the patio light which made it hard to see at night. The food was a bit overpriced for what it was. The bunk bed didn’t have a latter which made it really difficult to get up and down.

The room was very comfortable, beautiful. It had everything we needed. We could even have room service, which we didn't. I really liked the way to communicate. Via WhatsApp, you have all the information you need, such as locations of the premises, menus of the restaurants, etc. You can communicate with staff, make reservations, or send an order via WhatsApp.

Nothing to complain.

Food could be better. Batter for waffles should be discarded immediately and buy Krustaez instead. If you serve chicken and waffle it needs to be more than one chicken wing. Otherwise, pretty good.

Great place, pretty rooms, staff was friendly and attentive. Cool bar over the water.

My room was an upgrade and it was extremely beautiful with a private soaker tub and mini courtyard. It was excellent.

The air unit was a little complicated. I was either freezing or sweating like a lunatic, particularly in the night, as the air unit and head of the bed were on the same wall. Sometimes I just slept at the foot of the bed so I could feel the air. Nothing they could change I imagine, and just a minor thing. The one other thing was there was a mini fridge in the room but no microwave. That would have been handy to rewarm my rice and beans dish I saved from the night before.

The food was delicious but very expensive. The informal, friendly, beautiful setting. The staff was warm and friendly.

The price of dinners was very high, beaches not cleaned daily of plastic and trash, room cleaning service minimal and irregular
