The location on top of the hill meant that the views during the day and at night were quite beautiful. The restaurant food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good - tasty, well presented and quite good value. There is also the option of the hotel next door for an evening meal. The hotel is only a very short walk to the impressive Cahel Pech Archeoligical site where you can easily spend 2 hours exploring. Being on top of the hill it required a VERY steep hike back up after checking out the town centre. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

San Ignacio, a perfect mix of culture, history, and adventure, this lively town is the starting point for so many awesome activities and excursions. The Maya ruins of Cahal Pech and Xunantunich are just minutes away, where else can you explore ancient royal palaces, wander through lush rainforests, spot exotic wildlife, and marvel at stunning natural landscapes, take a hand-cranked ferry over the Mopan River, meet proud Belizean people, tryin different types of food, spending time in an interesting colourful town center to get a glimpse of daily life in Belize. #SanIgnacio #Belize #Cahal Pech #Xunantunich

Older rooms in main building, breakfast expensive and ordinary

Was beautiful setting upon the top of the mountain and close to the Mayan ruins which you could walk to and there was virtually no one else there. The staff were hard working and super friendly and helpful.

It’s in need of some TLC some septic smells behind the Kitchen when you take that path and loud partying patrons kept us awake late one night. There seemed to be no security to tame them down or encourage them to stop when inappropriate sexual advances in the hot tub were observed that they took over for hours one day.

I think this is the best place you can stay in when visiting San Ignacio. Even though the location is not ideal if you want to visit the center of town, you get the best bang for your buck. The cabins are absolutely awesome with the glass room with the hammock. The wifi was not very reliable and dropped often but I was still able to do some work one afternoon, when I took my laptop to the pool area. I love the restaurant and pool area. The view is incredible. I liked the little coffee shop and I recommend their banana bread loaf! The hotel excursions are expensive (but this is the same all over Belize) but well organized.

The staff was not super friendly. We always felt like we had done something wrong. I don't recommend the sushi restaurant. It is super overpriced (like same prices as in the US) and they made us wait forever for our food, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The hotel's location is a bit far from downtown San Ignacio. It's a long walk through a mostly empty part of town (although we always felt safe!)

The multiple pool were nice, staff was all nice and helpful, had filtered water available for free, cafe on site (for extra fee) was good, bungalows were cute, and walking distance to the Cahal Pech ruins. We also did a tour through them and would highly recommend - they were very flexible on timing and it was very reasonably priced.

Restaurant food was mediocre, would eat elsewhere (Obsidian next door was good), and lots of stairs depending on which bungalow you're in

Although the location was out of town a bit, it is still walkable to town if you’re willing to climb the mega hill back to the hotel, the view above town is incredible and it’s right next to a Mayan site. Staff was great, food was great, loved our cabin, and pools were awesome.

The A/C was quite weak and I’m not an A/C person. It was May and in the 100s so the room cooled off, but still pretty warm for sleeping. Learned to keep fan off and that helped. Staff did not reinforce quiet hours and a group kept us up partying at the pool until almost 2am one night despite me yelling at them.

We were in the cabanas and I truly enjoyed the hammock on the terrace, the view on the village and waking up to the symphony of birdsong every morning. The pools were a lovely way to get refreshed in the afternoon heat and the beautiful observation deck was perfect for sunset drinks especially when it lit up in the evening.

We had a great stay. The restaurants were good and well priced with some variety of food options. The location is central but the hill is long and steep from the town centre. You’re a stone’s throw away from the Cahal Pech ruins which are a must see!

The view was spectacular! I adored going for a morning coffee and sitting on the huge patio overlooking the hills and valley. Sunsets were unbelievable! Stay in a cabana!! We booked 3 great tours: Vache Lake river boat to waterfalls with bbq lunch; ATM caves (awesome! ask the guide for WhatsApp pics since you can't take any); Tikal in Guatemala. We interspersed these with "stay" days to relax and see the town which is a short walk away (and taxi back). We went to shop at the market, visit restaurants, see the Iguana Sanctuary and the Cahal Pech ruins were serene, had great self-guided info and we spent hours there (just a few feet from the resort).

I love the layout of the bungalow. It was beautiful. It was clean. The shower. Pressure was excellent. The water was nice and hot. The outside patio was exactly as pictured as described and so comfortable.

I would say the absolutely the only thing that I was slightly disappointed was that both of their pools were closed, but I do understand that it was off-season and that they needed to do maintenance so I really wasn’t horribly upset plus after my excursions. I was so tired that I probably wouldn’t have even participated in swimming.

Check in easy, views were amazing and staff were lovely. A great base for all our sightseeing. All our trips were booked through hotel and were organised down to the last minute - brilliant!! The restaurant was a beautiful place to be, really picturesque.

The hotel is a little tired in places and with some updating it would be an amazing place to stay. The pool showers and pterodactyl pool jet need to go! It dates the hotel and without them it would look so much more classy.
