The Property was exactly as on the pictures, great views over the sea and really homy. Breakfast was very good with in-house made goodies like cakes and lots of fresh fruits. A nice treat was the coffee in the afternoon, with cookies and cake. They have a cat that loves roaming around and sometimes staying with guests.

It is not the properties fault, but the access is quite exhaustive, going up the hill. Also, Internet service in Ilha Grande is not great. So, whilst the WiFi was working fine, sometimes there was no internet.

Lovely room with a sea view, close to the beach and restaurants (though up a slightly steep walk way). The breakfast each morning was really tasty!

There was a problem organising a transfer off the island otherwise everything was brilliant!

The pousada is quaint and has a great location and our room had a balcony with a view of the bay. It was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed the little personal gestures that the staff did to make us feel welcome and at home, for example, a personalised welcome board with our names on the room door, chocolates on the bed, breakfast was brought in the form of a picnic basket which you could enjoy in privacy on your own balcony or you could sit on the deck with other guests. The quality of the breakfast was good.

It is not really a criticism but a warning that the narrow cobblestone lane which you need to walk to the accommodation is very steep. It is also not very close to the ferry pier so you have to walk quite a distance on the sand and then up the steep alleyway to get to the accommodation. However, you can hire a porter to carry your luggage.

We loved having our own breakfast basket delivered either to the table outside our room or the balcony with the sea view. Breakfast was different and delicious each day! The staff are super friendly and helpful (even though we didn’t speak any Portuguese) they really helped us with lots of things including reasonably priced laundry, organising a Porter, checking and extra sheets. The aircon was fantastic, really new and worked well. The place was kept clean and tidy. It’s in an Atlantic rainforest so I had seen comments about it being damp…of course the air is humid! Inside the room with the air con on was delightful!!! It’s a very short walk to the hustle and bustle which we liked, there is a gentle slope from the beach and a few (like 10) steps but nothing challenging (get a Porter for your suitcase), I has a backpack and walked easily (take the main road at high tide, low tide you can walk along the beach) from the port.

My stay at Pousada Bela Vista in Ilha Grande was simply amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a welcoming atmosphere. The stunning views of the island from the guesthouse were breathtaking, making for a truly memorable experience. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, ensuring a relaxing stay. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful, always ready to offer recommendations and ensure my stay was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh and tasty options. I would definitely recommend Pousada Bela Vista to anyone looking for a wonderful experience in Ilha Grande. I can't wait to return!

The Posada is nicely located, on the hillside above the beach - albeit up a few stairs. The decor in the public area has some nice touches and feels welcoming.

We were unlucky with our upstairs neighbor.. ..we had a room with an ocean view on the lower floor, whoever was in the room above us was up late, had heavy feet, and decided to walk around all night! It was weird... I woke up a couple of times from the noise - in summary there's mediocre sound insulation between the upper and lower floors - however I do think we were unlucky with our neighbor and room.

We had the most amazing view of the sea and mountains, so stunning to wake up to each morning. Breakfast was a great mix of fresh rolls, ham, cheese, fresh fruits, juice, cake , coffee , all eaten on our balcony looking at the fab view. The staff were all so friendly and happy , a special mention for Bea , who spoke great English and was so kind and helpful , booking boat trips and giving trek and restaurant recommendations. We loved Ilha Grande.

The place was spotless clean and very comfortable. Great view from the balcony where you could chill in a hammock. There is an option to have a breakfast on you balcony which created a chilled lazy morning atmosphere. The breakfast was generous and tasty.

The pousada is a 10-12 min walk from the port and uphill at the end, so it's a bit hidden. And the building is made out of wood so you could hear every step and move of the neighbours above you.

Nice location a reasonable distance from town so very peaceful. But still less than 10 minutes to town. Several nice restaurants on the beach nearby. Good air conditioning. Nice breakfast. Nice patios with great biews

A bit of a hassle if you have a large suitcase, but nothing too bad.

The view was spectacular, the breakfast was really good, the staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean. Basic but everything we needed and an excellent price. Up a lovely quiet lane but well lit. Easy access to the beach and restaurants but not noisy. Thoroughly recommend it
