Very good location on beautiful sandy beach, in the city center (with restaurants & shops) near promenade. Pleasant patio and terrace overlooking the sea. Friendly and helpful staff.

Air conditioning was unnecessarity turned on in rooms at night, because it was only 20 C. degrees outside. May it's winter time. The noise & cold made it difficult to sleep. I warn against using the company "Buzios transfer" & TourShop" for transfer from Rio to Buzios. They are dishonest. They charged my card, but did not make the travel and not returned money!

Location is right in the waterfront and you can see lovely views while eating breakfast or chilling in the outdoors or indoors common areas. Also, it’s in the town center and a short walk from to all the touristic cafes, restaurants and shops, including the port where the boats leave from, so it’s very convenient. Hostel staff are helpful (service provided mostly in Portuguese or Spanish) and they arrange activities during the day and evening, as well as providing the option to book tours with them.

Breakfast was a bit generic and repeated itself every day, but it’s not enough to take off points. Also, not a major thing but it would have been nice to have curtains on the bed banks to maximize privacy.

Located in one the best streets in Buzios, Rua das Pedras, the location is one of the best things about this property. Although the most memorable thing about the hostel were the people, the staff are very helpful and the people staying at the hostel were really friendly. The hostel also organized daily event like free tours which made it easy to get to know new people. The hostel also offers some paid tours, with one to Arraial do Cabo, although I didn't get the tour through the hostel I recommend you visit Arraial. Overall, I would highly recommend you stay at Bamboo.

One of the main things that could have been better was the bathroom. I stayed in a mixed 4-bedroom room, which had no bathroom, so I had to go out of my room to a common bathroom. Although the room is very cheap so for this price you can't expect much. If you wish you can either stay in the 8-bedroom room which has a bathroom, or get a private room at the hostel.

Great location, nice staff and generally really good hostel

For the price I would expect it to be a bit better, for example the wifi was barely working in the evenings (they did say this was generally bad throughout the town) and there was only one bathroom for a 13 person room so naturally it was always occupied and a bit dirty. For a 9/10 place I would expect a few other basics like towel hooks in the bathroom which weren't there. Overall very good hostel (mainly due to the location) but not quite as good as the 9+/10 reviews imply.

The location was absolutely breathtaking, and the staff—especially the tour guides Ricardo and Leonardo—were instrumental in making my stay a success. The field trips they led enriched my experience and gave me a deeper appreciation of Búzios

The shared bathroom was a bit dirty, so I'd recommend cleaning it more often. It was totally fine, of course, but it could have been better.

Outstanding hostel in every way. Knowledgeable, accommodating, super-friendly, and upbeat staff. Oceanfront location. Comfortable, airy rooms with lights and plugs at each bed, and an individual locker assigned for each bed. Huge windows that slide open to sea breezes and the sound of the ocean. Street side entrance is on the main walking street filled with restaurants and ambience. Nice continental buffet, included in the price, in an airy room facing the ocean. I've been here before, and it has all the qualities that you would want in a perfect hostel.

Located in the city center close to restaurants, shopping, and right on the beach. The view of the beach was absolutely incredible - highly recommend for couples traveling together. Staff were so helpful with recommendations for night life and with booking our tours and transportation, especially Luli & Rafael. Breakfast was delicious and exceeded our expectations. On a day where we had to leave the hostel before the breakfast hour for a tour, staff were kind enough to prepare a to-go breakfast with fresh snacks. The hostel restaurant was also delicious for lunch. Overall, it was a great stay!

I liked the location and and the people working in this hostel. The entire hostel service was very nice and helpful. And there was the nicest guy I’ve ever met, Nico, the volunteer. He showed me many amazing places in Buzios for example Tartaruga beach. But the most important thing is he literally made my dream come true. He showed me capybaras! He took me to a place where I saw capybaras for the first time in my life. I’m from Poland and we don’t have these cute animals in there. So my stay in Buzios in Bamboo hostel I will never forget! Thank you!!!! ❤️

Outstanding location in the center of town and beachfront, with private steps down to the beach. Highlight is the warm, energetic staff, who go out of their way to make the stay great. Continental breakfast in front of big, open windows facing the ocean.

My room had only a small window and was stuffy until the air conditioning was turned on at 10 p.m. Suggest inquiring about room location at the time of booking.

Perfect position with view on the beach. Good breakfast. Very clean facility, despite being a bit old. Nice activities organized (including the lovely free tours at the beach with Hadassa). Very nice staff, friendly and accomodating.

Dorms are really a bit old and without curtains or privacy. However even with 13 people in the room it did feel big enough and quiet.
