The staff went above and beyond to help me. My credit cards had been blocked due to fraud, staff gave me their mobiles to ring my bank in London. The location with the beach was excellent, subway around the corner for cheaper meals! The swimming pool was an excellent temperature. I didn’t use the sauna due to a lack of water for guests. The fruit flavoured water in reception was lovely, but runs out too quickly. Most hotels give free water in hotel rooms each day. Breakfast was excellent. English and European guests often prefer black breakfast tea and not coffee or herbal tea at breakfast.

Lack of free drinking water. I wanted to use the gym, but in 31° degrees I didn’t because there was no drinking water inside the gym. Twin taps in guest bathrooms or hot tap and cold tap is common practice in world hotels. Hot water is better for hand washing and also men shaving.

Loved it. Much better choice than the better rated Luzeiro hotel in São Luis. Great breakfast, friendly staff and very good restaurant

It was all good

The hotel is located in front of the beach. However swimming is not possible in this part of the beach. Large room with a small balcony and wooden floor. Comfortable bed with quality linen. Good aircon. Good lightning. Good breakfast in a nice room with view to the beach. Good shower and quality towels. Staff could be friendlier. Strong WiFi everywhere in the hotel.

The room door does not close flush and has half a centimeter of space on all four sides up to the door frame, through which the light from the hallway enters at night. Very cramped small bathroom.

The mattresses and pillows weren’t very comfortable. The staff mean well and are very polite, but they are not well managed and do too much on what is not needed (eg: cleaning the table the whole time whilst others still eating) and do too little attention on what is needed (eg: food for 2 arrives for on a table of 3 and the third plate only comes after the other 2 have finished eating)

Everything is priced fairly, from drinks at the pool to food in the restaurant. There are plenty of choices for breakfast and the staff is very nice and professional. The location is also very nice as it's right by the ocean. Exceeded my expectations and would definitely come back.

Nothing worth mentioning, one time the shower didn't get as hot as I would have liked but that is literally all I could think of, overall just a great experience.

The staff were extremely lovely and even though they spoke little or no English they always managed to help us with information etc. The location opposite the beach was excellent and there were a few nearby restaurants which we tried and were very nice, as well as some fun kiosks opposite the beach which sell food/beer which were fun. The breakfast in the hotel was superb

The hotel reception areas are lovely but the rooms could do with an upgrade in decor.

Location and staff were great. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast orange juice was great.

The breakfast was not excellent. Too many options but the quality of the food was not great. For example, too many bread options but most were dry. The fruit looked old. The cheese bread was good though.

The Spa is lovely, the pool is very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was robust and very tasty. The staff, especially Carla at check in, were so friendly.

Hotel receptionist was extremely helpful in arranging trips even though neither she nor we spoke Portuguese.

Balcony was two small for a table or chairs. Not worth the upgrade

The staff was the best thing about the hotel. Everyone we interacted with were kind and provided good information about the hotel and the city.

Not having a covered parking lot. Since Sao Luiz is so hot, getting into the car in the morning or afternoon when leaving the hotel was like getting into a microwave oven.
