The mosquitos. It's understandable because of the water and plantation. I would recommend taking insect repellent. This will not stop me from going back

Large clean rooms set in a quiet, lovely garden setting far away from street noise and karaoke. Staff are all wonderful. Cheerful, efficient, kind and friendly. They really make this place. Swimming pool is cleaned daily (it looks uncared for because it has a concrete, not tiled, bottom). Filtered water refills. Reliable for bus booking - they use a high quality company. Good buffet breakfast. Wifi covered the whole resort.

This is definitely not a 4 star establishment. If you expect a 2-3 star standard you won't be disappointed. Some of the furniture is quite dated - the chairs in the restaurant for example. My room was shabby: the mattress was very saggy on one side, and the springs on the sofa had gone. There was hot water, but it lasted for one short shower only. I had a TV remote but no TV! The carpet and curtains were a bit stained (although they didn't feel dirty). Having said all this, it was a pleasant, relaxing place to stay.

Nothing to complain about really. The pool was nice, rooms were good with great WiFi and air conditioning. The only problem I had was that I wanted to leave at a certain time and they came around the night before to take our breakfast order. I assumed it meant that the breakfast would be ready at the time I selected, but they hadn’t even started it. It took 20 minutes to get my food and I ended up leaving later than planned.

No pool filter…but that’s probably because it was the start of slow season. The pool smelled like the rain water we had just received.

The ambient is really cozy and relaxing, we have spent couple of mornings at the pool and we were the only one there. The breakfast in the open area offers not a huge variety of food but everything you need: egg station, freshly baked bread, bacon, butter and jam, plus fresh fruits and local dishes. You can also order noodles stir fried or in the soup, they will make right away for you. The staff was very helpful on booking us tours and in our case a private boat on the river. BowRain is willing to bring you around with his tuktuk at a very reasonable price. Bed comfortable.

Due to the last minute booking we were not lucky with the room, it was very spacious (2 king + 1 single bed) but not very nice. Cleaning could be better but generally was ok.

Overall great place. Love the quiet garden vibe. Great staff. Restaurant is good. Rooms clean. The green space is lovely. Breakfast is nice.

They turn the pool filter off as soon as you get out, and it's not chlorinated, so it's stagnant water. (Filters need to be left of and salt or chemicals added). Kids got ear infections while staying here and we had to go to the clinic for swimmers ear infection). Ac leaked water all over the floor in our room if we left it on at night (I'm talking flood levels).

Service, food & setting.

Garden needs some attention and hammocks would be great.

Staff is very kind, the place is very quiet n confortable. The pool is great n the food is excellent.

It's a little bit far from the city. Concerning the excursions, they offer different tours but be aware that once you paid the tour by itself you still have to pay fees or "donations" wherever you stop, which make it pretty expensive at the end of the day. The tour was great but I would have preferred to be informed at the reservation n not once I was sat in the tuktuk.

Very peaceful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed eating at the restaurant - the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was fairly sized in a beautiful garden setting. The pool was big and refreshing - at first it looks really murky but once you get in, you realise the water is really clean, it's just a stone design to fit in with the jungle theme. For breakfast, eggs were to order, which was great.

Water was cold in the shower. Ants in the bread at breakfast (as soon as we mentioned this, they made fresh bread straight away). Nowhere to dry clothes. The rooms are slightly more dated than the pictures but still nice.

Loved the property - great value for money. Rooms and bathrooms were very spacious. They had interconnecting rooms for our family of 5. The property and the pool were well maintained. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Staff were very helpful. Really liked that they provided water in reusable bottles and had an easily accessible refill option. Breakfasts were huge. Approx 20 mins walk to downtown, but easy to organise a tuk tuk.

Given how well the property was maintained inside, it was a shame that the street front still had plenty of litter around (rubbish tends to be common on the streets).

Everything was excellent! Breakfast was always great, pool was so relaxing, our room with the table overlooking the pool just wonderful since we love to sit outside. For travelers, the filtered water for our water bottles is always very much appreciated. The Sanctuary Villa is a very appropriate name for this wonderful gem in Battambang. Just a GREAT place to relax and chill out! So enjoyed the gardens and all the landscaping....plants around the pool and in the front garden. Very well done. Staff very helpful. Wonderful tuk tuk drivers picked us up at the bus station & toured the area.

We both did a massage. Very nice separate space. We both thought the massages could have been better. Although the Villa is quite a distance from the city center, it was also part of it's charm.....so quiet and secluded.
