Everything was clean. The staff was a nice. The wasn’t a major issues for us as some of these comments say, it’s a 1 dollar grab from the center or 10–15 minute walk. It has a nice outside area.

The one downside with the location is that it is next to or nearby a temple so expect some repetitive chanting at weird hours. They charge 5 extra dollars a day for AC.

A nice place very popular especially among young people. Very friendly staff, tasty meals and fruit shakes, a nice pool with towels readily available, laundry service, and a lot of cosy chairs in the lobby to relax in. I definitely recommend to pay a little bit extra to get a room with A/C as we felt hot in a room with only a fan. Fortunately, it was not a problem at all to change the room. The hostel yard with the pool is nice and there are quite a few friendly dogs around who seem not to belong to anyone. The helpful receptionists gave us a lot of interesting and useful information and helped us with travel arrangements to our next destination.

The hostel surroundings are rather ugly but you don't need to look. :-) The hostel is about 2 km from some sights and although it's not much, given the surroundings and hot weather, we decided to take a tuk-tuk instead of walking. There is no elevator, so you need to climb all those stairs, sometimes a few times a day. I'm not complaining, just saying. :-)

Really cool and well thought out layout, with the social spaces and pool set up in a way to encourage socialising but allowing people to chill in peace if they want. Exactly what you want from a hostel. Extremely helpful and friendly staff who all speak great English. They were very useful in organising tours and bus travel (which all went smoothly). A LOT of dogs providing energy and cuteness to the social areas. All of them were friendly! Private room had plenty of space, some amenities provided and well cleaned before our stay. If you don’t pay specifically for an AC room, they charge $5 per night for the remote to turn it on - but we found this totally fair due to how good value the stay was.

Five dollars for a large, well-equipped hotel is the best price I’ve ever seen in all the countries I’ve traveled to. I was expecting something much worse, but it turned out to be quite decent!

The hotel facilities could use some renovations, and the early morning prayers at 4 AM can be a bit annoying—but there’s not much that can be done about that. However, I did find human hairs from a previous guest on the bathroom sink, which was unpleasant. That said, for five dollars, I can overlook almost anything—haha!

Kind staff, great pool and great value for the price in general. The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

Lovely set up, great pool I didn't have time to use however. Restaurant on site with free breakfast so very handy when checking in late. Close walk to the town however if your scared of dogs better get a lift as there are very little lights near by and a number of dogs are out after dark. Fine for me two nights but you would be happy getting into the hotel.

I didn't realise but my room had no AC, would not book again without it, room was awful warm, hard to sleep even with windows open. Even a small plug in unit should be got for each room an pay slightly extra as for me it was very hard to sleep, 33 degrees easy

Very nice place for really little money. The best value for money we had in two months of travelling in South East Asia. The room was large and quiet, the breakfast and generally the food was very good and the staff was very-very helpful.

The hotel is located relatively far from the centre. You could walk in reality, but it is an ugly and noisy route you prefer to avoid. We do not use air-conditioning, but the room had an AC and when I asked how it works I have been asked 5$ extra per night (which is a 40% increase of their rate). This is not serious. That said, the fan was largely sufficient to sleep comfortably.

We had a lovely stay at Blue Diamond Hostel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The staff is amazing, speaks English and is available for any questions and concerns. The restaurant on site serves delicious meals. We also were able to book our boat ride to Siem Reap and had a free shuttle to the boat. The view from the room was beautiful for sunrise. The environment is great with the greenery and the nice music being played there. Thank you for looking after us!

Nice pool, good rooms, very big! The food was delicious. Seemed to be the best value in battambang. Lots of cute animals to play with, and lots of social areas to hang out or have a break.

Only feedback based on other hostels in Cambodia. No water, have to buy it. The tour we booked for the afternoon wasn't very good. Everyone else had tour guides, but we had to self guide. The restaurant isn't that cheap. The prices were more when we went to pay at the end. The scooter hire is for the day, not 24/7.

Good location, girl on reception was super helpful. Food in the restaurant was nice enough and the pool was so awesome! For the price you pay you can’t ask for much more. They also have a fantastic tuk tuk driver that they can organise for you to go to the bat caves.

Having A/C in the room but needing to pay extra for the remote… we came in low season and most sun loungers were in use. Would probably struggle to get one in high season.
