The location is great. Walking distance to some good food places and a convenience store. The upstairs rooms are pretty. The aircon is good. And the breakfast is good. The staff are very helpful with booking tuk tuks etc. There is an AMAZING gallery and cafe less than 20 metres from the front entrance. Battambang itself is so so good.

We found the beds to be very hard but that may be the style in Cambodia. The pool area is a bit awkward when other people are using it. You sort of shimmy past people. Something that is small on the scale of things. The music playing in the pool area was pretty awful but that could be my lack of tolerance, or taste.

The hotel is actually fabulous but be aware that they are going through renovations (until about November, I think, which will make for spectacular improvements!) which means half the pool is covered. You can still swim. Our room had no view as it was blocked by the renovations. Putting that aside, the staff are superb and the restaurant meals are terrific. It’s in a great location with a short walk or tuk tuk across the river to all the action.

We lost our view due to the renovations but everything else was fabulous. The bath was amazing but a little slippery so be careful!

Booked two balcony rooms but as they were unable to be close they upgraded one room for a deluxe that had a huge stone bath in room. Which then put us on the ground floor. I don't like ground floor and always book a hotel room with balcony. I realized I had made a mistake with the number of adults in second room (booked 1 should have been 2) sent an email that morning to advise, email promptly replied to and no problem to add on. Very helpful staff with reasonable English. Great breakfast buffet with Asian and Western options, also a reasonably priced resturant. Excellent small pool area with sun chairs, large umbrellas and towels. Clean and comfortable. Well maintained gardens. Amenities as described except hair conditioner which was procured on request. Free on site parking.

Satellite smart TV with few English channels but can access paid TV options ie Netflix. Noisy construction workers who started work too early and woke all family up before 6 am. Low season price good value but in high season it would be overpriced especially if construction work ongoing. Being on ground floor when booked 2 rooms with private balconies, for saftey reasons.(forgot to add that in previous review) Firm mattresses.

Peaceful surrounding gardens are well maintained, pool area excellent and towels provided on each reclining pool chair. Excellent breakfast buffet with Asian and Western foods. Restaurant in house good options and reasonably priced with room service available. Good linen and clean matress and pillows. Electronic safe in room to lock up valuables that doesn't auto unlock so remember the pin you enter. Friendly staff with reasonable English and very helpful. Free on site parking

Complementary toiletries do not include hair conditioner as stated. I did not bring mine but when I queried and explained this, they went to the market and purchased some for me on the spot. Satellite smart TV but only 4 English channels, many Cambodian, Chinese and a few Thai channels, however can access your Netfix account etc Water in room in glass bottles not sure if safe to drink, but once boiled (with room kettle) and cooled in fridge caused no health issues.

Nice spacious room with comfortable beds. Location good, only a short walk from the town center. Price was okay for the quality of the hotel and staff was nice enough.

I didn’t like the lay out of the bathroom, as taking a shower caused the toilet area to become very wet. Breakfast had plenty of choice but not all were good (yoghurt wasn’t cold, rice was cold and they use a small oven to toast bread, which doesn’t really work). The wifi isn’t great and we were not informed about the ingoing renovations.

Staff very friendly - they spoke good English and went out of their way to be accommodating giving us a drink and cold towel when we arrived and making breakfast to go for us when we had an early checkout for the boat to Siem Reap. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the pool is a great place to relax at the end of the day. Breakfast is lovely - good options for Western and Khmer food and freshly prepared. Location is fine, away from centre of Battambang but a short walk which was pleasant enough - tuk tuks around $2.

The balcony area is lovely however there was a small gap in the sliding doors even when locked closed which meant we did get a brief visit from a gecko one evening.

The rooms are spacious and very well equipped, the staff were attentive and helpful speaking great English, the organisation of Tuk Tuk drivers was really helpful. The star attraction is the pool areas. The lunch menu was good value and tasty.

The breakfast was not the best. The eggs cooked to order was lovely touch but coffee was too strong and tasted like it was not fresh. Only this one slight issue but it didn’t detract from what was an excellent experience overall.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Cambana La Riviere Boutique. The room and property were very clean and well maintained. The property has a great lay out with 2 pools and a nice restaurant and bar. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was very good. The location was also very good. There are a few bars and restaurants that is only a 2 or 3 minute walk from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. An oasis in Battambang.

My context - $60 for the presidential suite. I absolutely adored the room. Great size. Really nice quality hardwood fittings everywhere. Had a huge tub that I didn't use but it looked really cool... Tbh a smaller bubbly spa would have been far more likely to be used, but it looks great. The room just had a lovely aura that was a pleasure to be in. Had a nice little balcony too. Staff were very attentive. Breakfast had something for everyone. I went for lots of coffee and croissants.

If I had to split hairs there were a few bits that would have made this a 10 rather than a 9. None of these would stop me from staying again at this price. The TV had English movies channels... A first for me while I've been traveling se Asia for a couple of months. Unfortunately the reception was really choppy. The pool area was nice but the water was a bit cloudy which was off-putting. Also the grouting and tiles round the pool could use some attention. It's not like labour costs a lot in Cambodia so seems silly not to get it spot on.

Friendly responsive staff, extra large room, good breakfast. Nicest bathrobes we have seen in our travels.

Wifi poor, AC unit not big enough to cool the large room, not enough pool chairs (only 5). This isn’t a 4-star property: workout room equipment sparse and not working, no onsite spa, pool looks huge in photos but really very small. The location is not nice, down a littered road, hard to find. They really try hard but it’s a 3 star at best.
