The price was great considering we had a fantastic winter view of the lake. Comfortable bed, prompt response to any needs we had and friendly staff.

The bedding could have been cleaner and there were a couple of issues to do with quality and safety which could be addressed. The kettle leaked so we asked for, and we're quickly given, another. But it too leaked, so we realized it was just a cheap brand. Also, sliding glass door on shared deck would not lock. Would be more of a concern in the summer when lots of people would be out and about. As well, the layout was odd. There was a lot of empty space, but bed and table were tight together. Didn't make sense and was impractical.

location is central. rooms are clean, bathroom a bit small but ok. All clean. Beds are comfortable. Nice view from the balcony in the yard with beautiful flowers and well maintained. Lots of dragonflies.

There were dozers digging close to the beach area, so it was a bit loud and not that welcoming. There were lots of wasps. My kid got stung. The furniture where the sitting area was at the water was a bit old, with paint peeling off or no paint at all, and the umbrella was broken. The cushions were not clean. It looked like a long time since someone had been there. Plumbing was loud in the adjacent rooms, next to us and above, like a bomb exploded every time someone used the shower until it passed midnight. Otherwise good stay. Was only one day and night.

The location is fantastic and having a kitchenette and separate bedroom was really nice, along with direct access to the grassy area out back overlooking the lake. It was also fantastic having a place that welcomes pets, and the pet fee was very reasonable, especially in comparison to other places I've stayed. The value overall was excellent.

The bed was very firm, which I'm not used to. The kitchen area wasn't all that clean, i.e. a bit of dried-on food stuck on the table, cooktop was dirty and dusty, but it wasn't a big worry as I wasn't using the cooktop and the table was easy enough for me to clean.

The beds and linens are simple but very comfy. Soft towels. Nice big TV with Netflix etc. Balcony overlooking the lake. Large bathroom. Quiet on upper floor. Enjoyed the small kitchenette. Very friendly staff.

Kitchenette cupboards not overly functional. No coffee maker so had to ask for one, but one was brought up promptly. Layout of room had bed too close to the kitchenette. Balcony is shared. Trims and fixtures in bathroom could use updating. No sink in bathroom, had to use kitchenette sink to wash hand after using the toilet.

Our stay was awesome, room was very big with separate room for the kids to sleep in. Decor in the rooms were fun and not just basic boring hotel aesthetics. Small balcony facing green area and forest, walking trail to the lake, we loved our stay here and will be back!

The heating unit for the rooms either had to be on or off, not able to set a specific temperature by degree so it was difficult to get a good temperature overnight.

Staff was very nice! Room was clean and recently renovated. The access to the lake is awesome and the chairs and kayaks being accessible to quests was great as well.

Room was advertised as a kitchenette. It had a fridge and microwave and a rusty/dirty hotplate and no suitable counter to use this on. This was disappointing as we had planned to cook our own meals during our stay. Also because the TV was in the bedroom and not the sitting room we all had to cram into the bedroom to watch. Finally, our TV was not plugged in or hooked up to the internet when we tried to use it. I had to do this myself in the morning when it was discovered. Likely just an oversight from renovations bit still a pain.

For those who do not like to drive from Edmonton to Vancouver in one day, this is an excellent place to stay. It is a little more than halfway to Vancouver. The motel is on a lake with its own private beach. There is a nice view of the lake from every room. The water is warm in July-August and the swimming is pleasant if you don't mind some weeds. The lily pads are beautiful.

There was a small kitchen with new appliances in our room but no place to eat, except outside. This is ok only if the weather is suitable. There is room for a small table and two small chairs and I suggested to the new owners that they add these.

Professional helpful staff and clearly this is a well-managed hotel. Our room was very clean, with a small living area/kitchenette separate from our bedroom which had lake views. Some bedside table books to browse was a lovely touch and recommendations for places to eat nearby were excellent. Good location close to everything yet a distance from the main road to ensure a peaceful night sleep- we would definitely stay again

Everything was great

Three years ago we drove right by this place because it looked awful! Now we booked it just as an overnight stop, not expecting much, but we were beyond impressed! They had just finished renovations in the room three days prior to our stay and a lot of the property is still under renovation to improve the campground and other amenities! The rooms are phenomenal, the staff is extremely friendly and enlightening, the location is quiet with amazing private lake access (and kayaks) and I can't wait to see what it will be like once they are done fixing it up! You will not regret picking Hotel Civilia as your accommodation when staying or passing through Clearwater, it is amazing!

That I didn't have the opportunity to extend my stay!

Looked so-so on the outside driving up but inside was a surprise. Large size room, beautiful view and walkout deck, huge TV, modern and clean. I always look for hotels with only white linens. Appreciated the Nespresso machine in stead of cheap coffee maker. Nice fluffy towels. Easy access to Hway. I never bother to rate places but this one was surmounting my expectations and had a good price. Excellent value!
