The breakfast was unexpected and absolutely wonderful- all of that hot food was superb and beyond what I would call continental breakfast. Waffles were great! We really appreciated it as we were still full by lunchtime and so we saved much money.

It was annoying finding parking in the gravel and dirt lot across the street, sometimes next to derelict camper vans & camper trucks. It was a little scary especially when you parked at night

The refurbished room was very nice to stay in. Room was large and clean, bed was very comfortable, and the balcony was a nice treat. Bathroom was nicely redone too.

The lobby was playing very loud music and was not overly clean, though front desk attendent was very nice. Website mentioned there is parking available but it is actually just street parking in front of the hotel, which I found to be misleading.

The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. It also had a balcony to overlook the water. Although places in the hotel looked as if they were under renovation, the room we were in had already been renovated and was very nice. There was a restaurant in the hotel, but I believe it was only opened for breakfast. We did have breakfast there and it was good.

The guest laundry facilities were very old and dirty. The dryer didn't dry the clothes very well. They were in the basement of the hotel which was a little seedy and spooky.

The renovations on the whole have been done well. The room was fresh, the bed comfortable and the fridge was an added bonus. Nice that there is no carpet, easier to keep clean.

1. The raised basin/sink in the bathroom is not practical at all and would be very difficult for short people and children to use. I suggest going with a traditional inset sink. 2. The room had trouble maintaining heat. A draft from the big window and sliding door. There was a complimentary heater in the room if required. 3. The chair for the desk is not the right one. It needs to be a higher type. 4. The fan in the bathroom did not work, but condensation seemed to clear quite quickly.

I had special-needs due to allergies, and Jamin was very accommodating to see that my room had been pre-cleaned and pet free. I didn’t have breakfast as I was on the early ferry. The only con was the road noise from a motor running all night was disturbing. Suggest a sleep/noise machine in the room. Would stay again.

Great job with the Reno’s . Lots of thought and hard work has gone into this property . Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

We were unhappy with the parking , in that we were told to park across the street in the grassy lot, was not paved or gravelled. The street was the other alternative.

The view from our room was very nice. I appreciated being able to keep the door to the balcony open but would have liked to be able to turn the heat off as I hate to see it going out the window. The smell of pot smoke from the street was not the greatest but totally out of the control of the hotel. I would book again especially if I could get the same room. Would have been nice to have a little freezer space in the fridge as I bought icecream without checking first but the staff at the front desk solved the problem by putting it in the freezer of the cafe and getting it for me when I wanted.

I liked the idea of the soap, shampoo and conditioner being in dispensers to save waste. However the hand soap dispenser didn't work so the desk staff gave me bar soap. The dispensers for the bath worked great for the shower but were too high if you wanted a bath instead.

I was really impressed with the renovations as I am a very "picky" person. Last time I stayed there, the rug was really terrible and had a very strong nasty smell. I was happy with the "fresh" smell. However, there was a coffee stain on the floor (in a weird place) and I made sure to tell the front desk as I didn't want to be blamed for this. The floors were not swept or damp mopped before we took over on Friday evening. This is not good :(

The cleanliness. I see everything as I am a very clean person. And COVID made my anxiety worse. Like I said above, the floors were NOT swept or damp mopped before we came into the room. We also found "bobbi pins" ON the bed :( This kind of grossed us out, but we checked everything else on the bed and it looked okay.

Coming in on a ferry at midnite was well accommodated by staff. Room was comfortable and the restaurant was good.

The building is amid some construction not easy to find at night. There was not a lit up sign that could be seem coming into town.

The hotel had been nicely updated and my room was bright and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was lots of space.

I liked the hotel.
