This hotel exceeded my expectations, particularly for the price we paid. We felt as though we have gotten much less from other hotels we have stayed at for double the price (or more). We were looking for a pet friendly place to stay with our dog for the first time. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Though the building itself is clearly not new, the hotel felt as though it had undergone some recent upgrades. Everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We got the sense that they took pride in their establishment. We were happy with the breakfast (a pretty standard hotel breakfast with toast, cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, ham and a few other things) and took the opportunity to check out the pool before leaving in the morning. The pool itself could use a repainting and the water was cool (cooler than expected for a “heated pool”), but we were impressed by the nice, clean sitting area and change rooms outside the pool. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our one-night stay at Quality Hotel in Gander and would go back without hesitation. It will be our go-to place for any future stays in Gander.

We stayed in Quality Hotel, Gander, on two separate nights, one on our way to Twillingate and Fogo Island and the other night on our return to St. John's. Gander is a mid-way point. On our first stay we were assigned a room with an attached parking spot right outside our room. It was most convenient. On our second stay, as there was a conference going on, we were accommodated on the third floor and therefore did not have the privilege of an attached parking spot. Quality Hotel, Gander, is conveniently located on the Trans Canada Highway, and meets all expectations of staying at the Quality Hotel chains. The service is good, breakfast is good, and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

The location off the TCH was convenient, and whether you choose to walk around Gander or drive, it was well situated. The breakfast was pretty good, the bar was decently stocked, and staff were quite cheerful. Ifs a good bade for heading up to areas like Twillingate.

Nothing really comes to mind. The gym is pretty small, couid use a couple of kettlebells, however that isn't a priority for a traveller.

We loved the location, the breakfast (would have loved bacon on one of the three mornings though) and loved that it had a pool (last night's stay it was closed though because a child pooped in it the night before) overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

The check in was a long wait - almost an hour as the rooms were not ready. Should have had something set up where you could check in and come back instead of having people standing in lines for over an hour We booked with this hotel because it had a pool but we couldn't use it the last night of our stay because a child had pooped in the pool the night before. I wish they could have had other back up for us to take the kids elsewhere swimming

Very quiet, comfortable beds great location

Was visiting with my elderly mother and asked if we could possibly check in at 1:30 . Went there and was told that I couldn't check in. When I returned at the suggested check-in time. We had to wait in line for over an hour. My mother was exhausted, we had traveled from Gros Morne. I understand that it was early, but since it was really busy because of Come From Away I don't understand why we couldn't pre check in, so when we came back, we could have just gone directly to our room.

I always worry about hotels with the word 'Quality' in the title. Quite often they're anything but that. However this was a great place with comfortable rooms, great food in the restaurant and amazing staff. Seriously, they're such friendly folk who took time to have a conversation with you and make you feel welcome on their island. I didn't try the pool but it looked like plenty of folk made use of it. Also lots of parking.

That I had to leave when my time was up.

Good information on evenings run by the hotel and breakfast times, big room with a desk and mini fridge, seemed fairly clean and functioned well as a hotel

The view from my room was mostly the pebbled roof and some air conditioning units, not a great variety for breakfast but definitely tolerable. Long wait for check in (arrived about 10 mins after it started and waited another 10 mins), not pleasantly walkable to places of interest as it’s essentially on the highway but it could be done if needed

Excellent breakfast! The room was very clean. The hotel is a bit dated but really nice. The staff were very friendly and treated me with respect. I'd definitely stay here again!

The lighting in the room was a bit low. Two of the reading lamps did not work. A light switch at the entry would be great but it only turned on the bathroom light.

Absolutely loved the beds! So nice and comfortable after a long drive! We didn’t realize we had a free breakfast the next morning, so that was an extra added bonus!

Glad we got to our breakfast buffet a little earlier in the morning, by the time we were leaving, there were no tables, and there was a lineup out to the lobby!

The breakfast was ok. I like the rooms.

We drove 5 hrs to get there and we got there 1/2 early and they wouldn't look at us until check in time. They advised us that we were going on the 2nd floor and when we checked in they put us on the 1st floor. Please don't tell me the room wasn't ready 1/2 hr before check in. The front desk people were not friendly at all. The rooms were nice but we wouldn't go there anymore.
