Restauran location with water view.

We stayed 4 nights and asked for room cleaning twice by putting sign outside our door. Hotel said to call front desk OR hang sign on doorknob before a certain hour, which we did). The first time no one showed. We saw the housekeeper in our building that afternoon and mentioned it. She said she was told no one requested room refresh. The second morning we left the sign out again. Saw the housekeeper on the way out and gave her our room number and asked for room refresh. No one came that day either! Once is fine but 2 days in a row is not good! Restaurant and pub food prices a bit high.n restaurant bright with water view but very bare and plain.

I stayed one night at the Ocean View Hotel in Rocky Harbour and was genuinely impressed by the location directly at the harbour. My room was in a separate building, slightly off the main road but still with an amazing waterfront view – especially from the balcony, which was a true highlight. The room itself was spacious, the bed cozy, and the walk-in, floor-level shower was so relaxing I didn’t want to get out. Breakfast (not included in the room rate) was delicious and served with a breathtaking view over the harbour. One big plus: This was the first hotel on my trip where the soundproofing wasn’t immediately a problem. Still not perfect, but finally a step in the right direction.

Two minor issues: My room was on the second floor, but unfortunately there was no elevator – not ideal with lots of luggage. Also, the fridge in the room was noticeably louder than in other hotels – either very old or faulty, and a bit annoying at night.

The location was great, and we had the executive suite, so it was spacious. The parking was easy, and we did have a partial ocean view as promised. We enjoyed sitting on the patio at the pub for dinner and the Ocean View Dining room for breakfast!

The carpet in our room looks like it has seen better days, but I think they were in the process of updating it. They also only provided us with 3 of everything for our family of 4. I tried to use the phone in the room to call and request another set if linens, but the phone wasn't working.

The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. The family run restaurant across the street from the hotel was fabulous!

The restaurant staff was rude….we were greeted at the door with the hostess saying “what do you want”. My husband replied “to be seated for supper?” Then, they messed up my husbands order by giving him mashed potatoes(which he hates) instead of fries with his fish. It was just a bad experience at the restaurant, but other than that the hotel was great.

The location of this hotel is perfectly nesselled in a small fishing village with local restaurants and stores. The room featured a balcony with outdoor seating with an ocean view. The beds are very comfortable, it has an excellent shower, minibar, television, and a pod coffee machine. Fresh, cold drinking water and ice were available. The attached pub offered entertainment and a kitchen Party while I was there and it was awesome. The fish+chips were excellent and the beer was cold. I would return to this hotel.

I would have liked to have better quality linens.

The staff were wonderful and the pub experience phenomenal. We attended the Kitchen Party the first night and made many wonderful acquaintances and were ‘screeched in’. The next night we watched Anchors Away perform - excellent stories and songs. Great food as well, both in the pub and upstairs in the dining area. Had touton here for the first time. Everything was wonderful. Hope to be back.

The room was fantastic and I was so pleased to have an ocean view! GORGEOUS - Rocky Harbour is spectacular. The room was great, the complimentary coffee was delicious. I have no complaints on the space at all!

The front desk staff person who greeted me did not smile at me when I approached the desk, not a good welcome. At check out the next day I overheard the same staff person make a remark about how "Room *** hasn't even checked out yet"....I was the room they were talking about. It made me feel as if I was doing something wrong by staying to the check out time! No smile and thank you for staying, and I was my grumpiest self then too....so staff need to work on their friendliness.

The location is great because it is well within the park boundaries and you can easily drive to most points of interest within about 45 min. We stayed in a newer part of the hotel called the Sundowner rooms which still looked brand new and our double queen room was very spacious. Directly across the street from our room there is a liquor/convenience store. Perhaps a little too convenient.

The main thing that could be improved is the continental breakfast. This was very basic and included a few cold cereals, toast, bagels, and sometimes muffins. The coffee was average.

The location was great. Right across the street from the ocean and restaurants and shops within a walkable distance. Lobster Cove Lighthouse is an easy little drive and amazing geological formations at Green Point are not to miss. And the Kitchen Party at the Anchor Pub was a total hoot!

We had reserved the room for three adults and all the towels, glasses, etc. were set for just two people. This seems to happen a lot but is an inconvenience that should be easy to avoid.

The view was amazing! Close to restaurants

Internet is basically none existent. TV was basically unwatchable with static lines through it. For those of you that need to work via internet, the LTE in that area was thankfully really good. The chairs on the balconies need to be replaced, they are badly weather beaten
