It is in a very central location and walking distance to restaurants and cafes in the Main Street. We were allocated a ground floor room which we appreciated because we have large suitcases to carry. The check in process was clearly communicated and was easy. The self serve breakfast with generous provisions is great, the kitchen makes it possible to heat/ cook food for another meal such as dinner. We appreciated having a fridge in our room. The room and ensuite were well equipped. A comfortable inn.

Our room was quite small and we are on a long trip so have large suitcases. It was very crowded with our luggage and also difficult to open our cases in the small space.

The room was spacious and newly refurbished to a very high standard with lovely ensuite. Breakfast things provided and a nice little sauna for two.

Unfortunately the plumbiing from the room above is all too apparent leaving nothing to the imagination. Im a light sleeper and you could hear too much from upstairs bathroom which is such a shame as the room no 4 I think was otherwise very nice.

The Riverside Inn is a super-comfortable inn, conveniently located to dining with easy access to streets and highways in and out of New Glasgow. We liked the convenience of self check-in. The suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. And, although no breakfast is served as in some inns and bed and breakfasts, there is a well stocked and equipped kitchen available 24/7 so guests can cook up their own breakfast or an evening snack at the end of the day.

Not a thing! The Riverside Inn is superb.

The inn was right across from the river on a quieter street which was nice. Check in was easy with door codes and instructions given with our confirmation. The room was very nice— clean, tastefully put together and comfortable. The pullout sofa bed in the living had pillows and blankets easily available in a dresser drawer. The master bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The outdoor hot tub was so delightful after a long day of driving and exploring the area. It was nice to have it all to ourselves. (You sign up for an hour time slot by room number.). The kitchen is self-serve complete with cereal, fruit, milk, yogurt, bread, bagels, muffins and instant oatmeal .There were eggs if you wanted to make yourself some eggs. Pans, plates, bowls, etc. available. You needed to do your own dishes and clean up after yourself. Coffee, tea and juice available as well. Very comfortable and nice place!

Everything was great! Rooms were clean and modern. Awesome bathroom. Breakfast area was self serve and well stocked. Hot tub and outdoor space was quite nice. Lovely restored heritage building next to the river.

There is a train line near the rear (can't see it) that is used to shuttle cars. Don't believe it is a mainline. They do use their horn when crossing the street during the day, but not during silent hours.

Convenient car park near room. Breakfast is DIY, giving you the option to choose what you wish to eat.

The cost of accommodation was deducted very early before check-in date as compared to the other properties which allowed a later time frame. This disallows one to have last minute change to one’s itinerary.

Very clean and well furnished room, bathroom and shower, bath were great. Loved the additional kitchen area ..again kept v clean The top tips and ideas of where to eat and visit while there helped us find a great meal out ..and the local bar for a fun evening with the locals Didn’t have time to try out the sauna and weather wasn’t good for the hot tub ..but great quality touches to this place

Bed was just a bit too firm, but that is personal preference. Pillows were lovely! No hand soap in bathroom ..had v small individual shower wash which we had to use in place of hand soap

Traditional style house which was been completely renovated inside with immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms. Continental breakfast and access to cooking facilities is available in a communal kitchen. It’s in a good quiet location beside the river but only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

There are no staff on site and if you’re not IT literate you may not be comfortable with text and email to get key codes to gain entry to the property.

The rooms were well stocked, beds very comfortable and modern well designed bathrooms. The breakfast and the room/kitchen for the breakfast was fantastic. The location was perfect as we could walk to the grocery store. We also used this as a stay to be close to the ferry to PEI. The staff was very friendly. Everything was great about The Riverside Inn and I highly recommend it and would stay again!

Honestly while New Glasgow May not be the most exciting stop in Nova Scotia - Riverside Inn is worth the pit stop. Absolute favorite Inn we stayed at - the room and bathroom were very lovely and modern, the bathrobes were a great addition. The backyard was absolutely stunning with a lovely hot tub and furniture and fire pit. The owner was incredibly lovely and kind. Parking was available too! Internet connection was great.
