Ms. Linda was very welcoming and helpful. Loved the property. It's in a true manner a heritage boutique hotel. Beautiful water st. Location, Many options to dine-in for good food, live music, ice creams, and authentic shawrama and crepes. Pictou is beautiful, and so is Braeside. Tasty continent breakfast, a lot of help brochures for local sight seeing available at hotel reception. King suite to offer jacuzzi, best way to relax after long hikes at provincial parks and beaches

We loved everything. We were a group of 4, 1 couple, and 2 friends, had a wonderful time both at the hotel and outdoors. Highly recommend for couples, family, and friends!

The property is beautiful and kept exceptionally well. Everything was clean and tidy and the owner was kind and helpful. Our room was very pretty with a view of the water and the sheets were so soft, as were the towels.

It is not that I didn’t like anything, but I had not realized our room was on the third floor and I have an injured knee so it was a bit of a struggle that night with my bag. Breakfast was included, although it was not a hot breakfast, it covered all the bases and was fresh and replenished regularly.

Braeside Country Inn was in a good location near to the centre. It's an old building and the room was of a great size and the owners were friendly.

This hotel describes itself as boutique but sadly it's not boutique. It's old fashioned and whilst I don't mind this it was more expensive than anywhere else we've stayed and I don't feel it warranted the higher price.

Beautifully maintained historic building. Very kind hostess/owner. Comfortable, relaxed, delicious continental breakfast. Comfortable and clean beds, bathroom and overall clean. No smell. It was just the right distance from the NL Ferry that we could reach there comfortably at night in order to be ready for a day of exploring the Sunrise Trail.

The whole experience. The quiet room with a view of the bay.. I found it inspirational. The breakfast had eggs, yogurt, fruit and great coffee Linda the owner was generous and welcoming. Returning from dinner a friendly deer met me . Enjoyed the conversation with guests and Linda. Comfortable bed. I wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Great character, a little “quirky”. Hostess very hospitable. Location terrific for downtown Pictou.

The bedroom design was unusual and perhaps not totally to our ideal: The bath in the sitting area with red lighting was unusual and we would have preferred better lighting in the bed area for packing/unpacking!! These are minor observations and wholly personal. We would recommend the property to anyone wanting to stay in Pictou!

The Braeside Inn was very conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. A very traditional property with beautiful matching furniture. Plenty of parking. We were made very welcome by the lady owner. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast next day was excellent , fresh fruit, cereals and hot food as well. A very pleasant stay.

It’s a very nice historic Building, well located within walking distance of the centre of the town. Beautiful ocean views and nice landscaping. The staff are very friendly and the owner is fantastic. They also have an elegantly decorated dining room and delicious continental breakfast.

The location is wonderful over the waterfront and quite convenient to the town. We had a room with a lovely waterview. Linda was caring and attentive to our needs.This is a beautiful old mansion which we highly recommend.

Just two small things. Power points in bathroom not working. There were no coffee/teamaking facilities in the room which is what you look for after a long trip.

The inn is in easy walking distance to the town centre and there is ample parking. One could not fault the cleanliness of the premises and the welcome was warm and friendly. It is a lovely building with character. Our room was small, but had a great sea view.

Patience was needed with the shower as it took around 10 minutes for the hot water to come though. The breakfast was adequate, but not a lot of variety, which may be to be expected in an inn with a limited number of rooms. What there was was very good.
