We initially wanted to spend a couple of nights at the Travelodge while visiting friends in Pictou. However, my husband came down with a cold, so in order for him to rest and heal, we ended up staying 5 nights. It was ok, nothing special. What made it good was the staff.

When we first inquired about a room we were told the place was sold out. No mention of booking.com which was disappointing because there were rooms left on booking.com, but for some reason, we forgot to check the site. Location is off the highway with nothing around to get a decent meal, only fast food joints :( The breakfast can be easily skipped; nothing healthy there! Since when Travelodge charges $200+ for a night? It's obscene.

Everything was excellent. The staff was very helpful with finding out a perfect place to eat since it was pouring rain and was able to have take out. Also, we found out that we were going to get a room for handicap accessible and since we did not want to take a room for a handicap they gave us an upgrade, which was very much appreciated after a long motorcycle ride..

Amenities were great! Room, staff, elevator, parking all great.

Could use a rolled up bath mat under the vanity to use while showering, even though the tub had ridges/roughness to prevent slipping, after using hair conditioner the tub was slippery, we did not think/know to call desk to ask for one.

First time staying at TraveLodge, but it certainly won't be the last. The room was huge, and we found it to be very comfortable.

The only thing that I found to be irksome was that the provided list of TV stations wasn't accurate; however, when I mentioned it to the desk clerk on checking out, she said they were aware of the problem which was in the TV set itself. No other complaints.

We stay here every time we visit family in New Glasgow and each time if feels like the hotel has made an improvement in some way. It's always clean and the price is very reasonable. It's also conveniently located close to shopping and coffee.

Mattress could be better but that's also a personal preference thing.

The facility was clean, and the staff were nice. It was great to have a light breakfast with the price of room.

When we arrived at 3 for check in to the rooms it was not ready, so we had to find something to do in area. We were told to call back to see if it was ready in half an hour or so. The price was high for the standard of Travelodge.

The lady at the front desk, of Scottish background, was very friendly, and arranged our breakfast for 6 instead of 7am. The food was very good, with lots of variety, a nice start for the long day on the road. Room was clean and property was in a quiet area.

Older building but very clean and proper! Proximity to retail stores and restaurants was awesome, walking distance to trails and downtown, great place actually!

Excellent value. Low price included a free breakfast that was pretty good. Rooms were nicely updated.

Outside of the property was pretty dated. Parking was okay but there wasn't an easy way to get the bags to our room.

Breakfast was ok but nothing special BUT they were pretty helpful in dealing with my son's food restrictions. Staff was super accommodating when it came to late checkout and late night arrival.

Bed was a bit too soft for our liking and the a/c unit was kind of loud.
