Great character, a little “quirky”. Hostess very hospitable. Location terrific for downtown Pictou.

The bedroom design was unusual and perhaps not totally to our ideal: The bath in the sitting area with red lighting was unusual and we would have preferred better lighting in the bed area for packing/unpacking!! These are minor observations and wholly personal. We would recommend the property to anyone wanting to stay in Pictou!

The Braeside Inn was very conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. A very traditional property with beautiful matching furniture. Plenty of parking. We were made very welcome by the lady owner. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast next day was excellent , fresh fruit, cereals and hot food as well. A very pleasant stay.

The inn is in easy walking distance to the town centre and there is ample parking. One could not fault the cleanliness of the premises and the welcome was warm and friendly. It is a lovely building with character. Our room was small, but had a great sea view.

Patience was needed with the shower as it took around 10 minutes for the hot water to come though. The breakfast was adequate, but not a lot of variety, which may be to be expected in an inn with a limited number of rooms. What there was was very good.

The location is wonderful over the waterfront and quite convenient to the town. We had a room with a lovely waterview. Linda was caring and attentive to our needs.This is a beautiful old mansion which we highly recommend.

Just two small things. Power points in bathroom not working. There were no coffee/teamaking facilities in the room which is what you look for after a long trip.

It's not far from downtown, yet it's still it own place. Walking into the property is like walking into my own home. The host is a wonderful person and very accommodating. It has a lot of history for those who are interested. Rooms are spacious and a mix of old style with up to date amenities. Breakfast had verity and very healthy.

There isn't a bad thing about this place.

Beautiful property with a sea view, the owner was very kind and helpful to us , and you can walk to town. Our room was comfortable and cozy, we had everything we needed. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of choices of delicious fruit, muffins, yogurt, etc.

Location in pictou ideal to tour town. Quiet even in sea having room as road not really used after 10pm. A wonderful old victorian home. Spotless clean amd tidy. Peaceful place. Breakfast continental good.

Shower took ages to warm up ...to be expected in old building. Warning would be appreciated

Linda was extremely helpful. She was very responsive to our needs. The breakfasts were simple but nutritious and adequate. The Inn has a wonderful location. We walked on the Jitney Trail each morning and saw many great blue herons.

The only thing that was difficult at times was the lack of an elevator. But Linda assisted with carrying things upstairs.

Linda was very friendly and we had great conversation. The Inn was clean and comfortable and Linda gave us a fourth floor room with a beautiful view of the harbour. There were wine glasses provided which was nice.

I would prefer white towels. The breakfast was average but filled the spot.

The room was comfortable and clean. There were many birds in the trees on the property which added to the ambiance. The breakfast was very good. The building seems to have a lot of history. Check in was very easy and the hostess was accommodating.

The bathroom is very small. The building temperature was quite cool. The building could use an air exchanger to improve the dampness.
