The staff were excellent at every point. And the facilities were both pleasant and high quality.

The entrance for drop-offs and pick-ups was very very crowded and congested at key times. The valet staff were exceptional in dealing with this issue, patient and quick and always even-tempered even in hot and busy times.

I enjoyed the Saturday omelet. It was fresh and made with real eggs. I like the chia seed pudding but it would be better less sweet. I loved the fresh berries and the oatmeal was good.

The pain au chocolate could be more dark chocolate/less sugar. I know that's picky but I was on a gold floor in another hotel in Istanbul and their sweet dishes used less sugar and tasted better.

I really enjoyed the selection of foods at breakfast. Bacon delicious; eggs and hash browns of course tended to be past their best unless you got to them early but still very tasty. Pastries wonderful. The 'hors d'oeuvres' served 5-7 were delicious too.

Reception and departure were quite chaotic, possibly because of computer problems. Not sure. What I do know is that it took us about half an hour to be admitted and close to that to be checked out. Our reservation was cancelled by someone late Friday evening (we were booked through 23-26 December), so we received no turn down service or housekeeping service after Friday at 6 p.m. Only the lady who stocked the minibar came every day. Needless to say this was very annoying and not what one expects from a good hotel. I didn't try to find out what was happening because I was afraid it might be a Christmas staffing issue. As it turned out these problems and our difficulty getting access to WiFi or using the phone for outgoing calls were all related to our inadvertent cancellation.

Well I am an ottawa original. I was born in Windsor but I moved here when I was 3. I have been all over the world and this has been the most relaxing time I've ever had. It's funny that it's my home town but it's because I grew up in this atmosphere. Cuddos

My reservation could not be located when I arrived so I was upgraded to the Presidential Suite! I was so overwhelmed! I got lost with all the rooms in this suite. Ten rooms I counted! Thank you for making the most memorable Graduation/ Mother's Day EVER!!!!!

This is a small comment that the Cafe Laurier could have some small snacks for purchase, eg chocolate bar, chips, etc.

Comfortable beds, fabulous location, quiet, Gold lounge access was excellent for snacks and drinks, breakfast was good, staff friendly and helpful,

Would have like easy access power point next to bed to plug online phone.

Beautiful hotel in great location. The rooms were clean and comfy and a good size.. Our room rate included.Faormont Gold benefits, which was a real treat. Our regret was we could only stay 1 night

We arrived in Ottawa, there was a big thunderstorm, and when we arrived at the hotel, at 6:00 PM, the power was off everywhere in Ottawa. There was a generator at the hotel, and we were able to go up by escalator to the 4th floor to register and have our room ready.

We were not able to order anything to eat from the hotel for dinner.
