Room was a good size, front desk very helpful in booking wine tours and arranging a taxi for us. Breakfast was simple but tasty and plentiful. Pool area was really nice. Nearby nice restaurants in the boulevard. AC worked well.

The room was a bit tired, there were cracked tiles in the bathroom and the hot water didn't remain consistently warm in any of our showers. I can see other guests struggled with this too. For the price I feel the room could have been refreshed and updated. The location is in a residential area of Santa Cruz so there isn't a huge amount nearby. The main focus of the region is the vineyards and I think we'd stay in one of them if we visited again.

I went to Santa Cruz so I could visit wineries in the area. Casa Calfu offered a driver to me for a fee and that made the overall winery tour experience very pleasant. I also needed to have laundry done while I was there and they handled the laundry in the same day. The WiFi was really good and I found the room very comfortable. It was hot one of the days that I was there and I swam in the pool which was pristine--very nice. There are two hot tubs and some of my neighbors seemed to enjoy those but I didn't try them. The breakfast was good albeit basic--cold cuts, cereals, toast, pastries and scrambled eggs. The location was pretty good as it was in town and, while most of the wineries i wanted to see where outside of Santa Cruz, it was a short ride to the wineries. I also drove to Pichilemu one day which was only 1.5 hrs from Santa Cruz. I had rented a car from Santiago and drove to Santa Cruz so I just drove myself to the ocean.

The only thing that is a bit wonky is the hot water. They use the tankless hot water system and it took a little figuring out. I did figure it out and had all the hot water I wanted. But it is a tad touchy.

The lady owner was on premises , the place was immaculate, the pool and the surroundings of it appealing. The lady owner suggested venues to visit.

Only one minor issue, not the fault of the b&b: GPS led us to the beginning of the road and the house was at the other end of a very long road, the numbers of houses were not in sequence. This was over one mile further than GPS indicated.

Everything was perfect but the staff were all delightful! They could not have been more helpful! When we checked out at 7.00 am yesterday before breakfast, with a two hour drive to Santiago ahead of us, a special breakfast tray had been delivered to our room, laden with fruit, yogurt, tea and sandwiches to send us off with a full stomach! So thoughtful! We enjoyed the hot tub and a relaxing massage during our visit too.

We loved everything!

Breakfast was good. Shower was amazing. Clean, linens changed daily. We were I'll during stay and staff was wonderful in cleaning the room on off hours, providing towels and whatever was needed.

Internet was not good, constantly in and out in spite of having 3 different internet on the premises. Also rooms are NOT soundproof. Could hear people in tge next room at all hours, Har dryers on early in tge morning, late at night.

The pool and the two hot tubs in a relaxing garden were very welcome. It is a quiet area a bit removed from traffic and crowd noise, but less than a kilometer walk into town and the amazing museum. The breakfast was fine - typical South American plus very tasty shipwrecked eggs served to order. The staff, check-in and check-out, and the help in finding a driver/guide for the area were great.

There are two chairs and a small table on the patio outside the room, and a lager table and chairs under a pergola next to the pool. However, it would be nice to have a small table and two chairs inside the room to set up laptops.

Casa Calfu made a good base to explore Santa Cruz and the local area. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and a good breakfast was provided. The garden and pool provided a nice area to relax. Secure off-road parking was a bonus. The air conditioning was very effective. It was very easy to order an uber to travel out to the vineyards. Lots of restaurants near by ,would highly recommend La Casita de Barrealas excellent food, nice setting and the craft beer bar Cerveceria Katarkura, both only a short walk away. For a treat Fuegos de Apalta on the Montes estate. Also don't miss Colchague Museum, a fabulous collection of artefacts, we used Google translate and visited twice!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - Rosa and Marcella at the front were amazing! As a solo traveler, they went above and helped me secure a driver to take me to the wineries, provided recommendations for restaurants and assisted when I needed to buy an extra suitcase for my wine. The breakfast was delicious and I also received a massage from Margarita (I hope I am remembering her name correctly). Overall, highly recommend this cute B&B!

We particularly enjoyed the pool and garden. We cycled to wineries and restaurants during the day, and cooled off and relaxed in the garden when we got back. Casa Calfu provides excellent service and value.

Only small quibbles. The bathroom was a bit cramped and the air conditioner in our room could have been a bit more powerful.

They have a very good breakfast. The kitchen provides eggs by request immediately. It’s not big hotel, so we were very well treated by everyone’s of the staff because we had a singular attention. Nice pool and a lot space to park your car.

The beds are a little bit too soft. Shower is very strong. I liked but other guests of the crew had difficulty in adjust the temperature.
