A lot of character, located on a dark alley that was v interesting, only 300 meters from main blvd. Rooms are small, but have character. Desk manager very helpful w/ adequate English. This hotel is bigger than it looks. They are happy to loan you traditional robes or even a rickshaw! Not far from Tiananmen Sq.

Besides desk manager, no English help at all. Other front desk girls made little effort to help. No food, though there is a room where drinks or breakfast could be served. Taxis have a hard time finding the hotel.

Amazing courtyard hotel — you really get traditional Chinese and “homey vibes” here! Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean, with a super comfortable bed. I loved the courtyard chill out area. The reception room is well equipped with free tea, a great (!) coffee machine, and power banks to take with you for the day.

As others have noted, sound proofing could be improved. I am not a light sleeper so for me that was not an issue.

The hotel is very close to Subway stations which can be reached by foot. There are good restaurantss in the area around the hotel, which also can be reached foot. The room itself has floor heating, which in result heats the bed, which was nice during the cold time we stayed there.

The floor in the room was quite dusty and the anteroom was in our opinion unnecessary and just made the room smaller as it could be.

Gorgeous rooms with an authentic feel. 'balcony' areas outside each room had little tables and lots of natural light but were hot due to no AC. Self service cat cafe was a highlight of the trip.

Rooms were a little small and limited space to hang laundry. A few nice restaurants and bars nearby but still had to take a taxi or metro to main attractions.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Really good location, 5 minute walk to the metro line which connects you to a range of tourists attractions. Really cozy rooms and courtyard, great start to our China adventure. Coffee machine in the reception area which is perfect. Highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel is off the main street in a nice and quiet hutong, just a short walk to the Subway station, eateries and shops nearby. Front office staff, in particular, Lily was very helpful and offered good advice on visits to places of interest in Beijing. The sitting area outside the room is ideal for a drink or two after an exhaustive day of sightseeing.

Not very convenient for eating. Not very close to popular scenery places. Cars cannot park at the front of the property which if you have so many luggages it will need the walk. Very dark on the way to hutong.

Location was great, very convenient. The hotel was really nice.

The Staff doesn’t speak English, they don’t send clear directions on how to get to the hotel, the only indication is the metro stop, it doesn’t really help considering people don’t speak English. The room was clean but the corridor was dirty.

The staff was always very helpful with our demands. One person from the team could speak English. The patio is beautiful with an ancient Chinese style. The hotel overall is decorated with great attention to detail. The hotel is in a very calm and traditional-looking area. There are also a lot of stores nearby that stay open until late in the evening.

The hotel is located in a Hutong on the left of Behai park. The access is a bit tight for cars but taxi drivers are used to it and managed it very well. The place is very quiet as a net in the middle of the city. Rooms are on 2 floors around a very nice patio. Staff is adorable and very keen to help.
