Beautiful hotel, conveniently located close to airport, free shuttle bus to airport, comfortable room, beautiful bathroom, great breakfast.

It was hard to find the location for the shuttle bus as it isn't indicated at the airport, luckily someone shared the schedule in a review. It took us a while before checking this, trying to contact the hotel, but not able to etc, very stressful experience. Thank you for the person sharing this review! For the next guest, you can find it at Terminal 2, nr. 46. The room was very hot. Not related to the hotel; please make sure to bring sufficient cash. There are no atm's at the airport. Visa is not accepted at some places (hotel does accept Visa though). Please be aware that some communication does not work in China, eg What's App, FB etc.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! This hotel far exceeded my expectations, it was super clean, homely and comfy! The shower was also amazing. I stayed for a one night lay over and honestly did not want to leave. The lady that checked me in was very polite, her English was good enough, she tried very hard! Breakfast was good, lots of options for everyone i enjoyed having hash browns as I am gluten free and usually cant each much at breakfast.

-Not much in the area but there is a newsagent type shop next door and a KFC. -The shuttle bus from the airport comes every hour, i just missed it so ended up getting a taxi, the guys at the taxi rank weren't the nicest and tried to over charge me but I insisted they use the meter and all was fine (just a warning, nothing to do with the hotel of course)

Fairfield is a brand by Marriott which offer accommodation at a friendly price. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle to and from the hotel. Friendly staff and check-in and check-out went smooth. The booked room was big, clean and everything was in working order. Another plus is that the rooms and suites have windows that can be opened. Breakfast was included and the restaurant room was clean, offered various types of breakfast and of good quality. The hotel acted directly about my compliant over loud neighbors with an upgrade to a suite on a quiet floor.

Not really dislike but things you should be prepared for. The free airport shuttle location at the T2 terminal was difficult to find because it stops on the Departures floor which is not mentioned on the hotel website. Expect not all staff to speak or understand English. The rooms are not really soundproof, conversations in the rooms next door can be heard. Also a room near the elevators or with a communicating door are not recommended as other hotel guests can be noisy or loud. Expect activity from the Baiyun airport every 5 minutes.

Buffet breakfast was excellent.

I have added the photo showing the shuttle timings to and from the airport for future travelers as we lost so much time trying to find our way to the hotel. It would have been easier if this could have been provided on the hotel website. You need to wait outside gate 43 located on the third floor of the departure hall in order to get picked up at the airport.

No cotton buds shower caps. Didn't notify me I had a visitor - my cousin came and returned home without seeing me (my phone didn't work and the front desk staff tried all sorts to help, tried to make the phone work but strangely, my cousin told me later on, the staff refused to call me in my room when she asked them to)

Very convenient location for a quick stop over. Mini bar was free (only soft drinks), and they also provided free late night snacks. Staff were friendly, and they provided an airport pick-up and drop-off service for free. They deliver contact free deliveries to the room via a robot! Was given a family room which was themed which is a nice touch by the hotel to keep kids entertained. I Loved it!

there was no hair conditioner or body lotion but everything else was fantastic, also not able to order room service through the qr code as i dont have alipay as im from australia

I am so sorry, but this is not a 5 star hotel indeed. For example, Fairfield in Daxing airport is much better. There are a lot of small issues: friendly and helpful people don't speak fluent English, no shower cap, room temperature was 26C and it took hours to reduce it.

The dining room was lovely and the cold buffet selection was amazing, juice cereal cheese pastries etc

The hot section Had a wide variety but everything was either cold or lukewarm at best , I don’t know if this is a normal thing as it was the same in the airport lounge Fabulous selection but nearly cold
