Perfect for a flight layover. The free shuttle service from airport to hotel and back was very useful. I struggled to locate the shuttle when I first got to the airport, as I don't have WeChat, but the airport customer service desk helped to call the hotel and told me where to go.

Affordable, free airport pickup and drop off

Location not accurate. It’s close to the airport but not nearly as close as shown on the map on Booking, which is fine because of the airport pickup and drop off services but still a bit misleading. Very basic rooms.

I recently had a long layover in Guangzhou and decided to book a room at the Frida Hotels right at Baiyun International Airport. I'm so glad I did! This hotel offers incredible convenience and a nice respite for transiting passengers. The location could not be better - it's literally inside the airport just a short walk from the terminals. Despite being attached to the airport, the rooms are quiet and well-insulated from any airport noise. I got a peaceful night's sleep. My room was modern, clean and surprisingly spacious for an airport hotel. All the basic amenities were provided - comfortable bed, nice bathrooms, TV, work desk, WiFi, etc. I appreciated the stylish design touches as well. The hotel has two restaurants - a grab-and-go cafe and a sitdown Chinese/International eatery. I ate at both and the food was high quality and reasonably priced for an airport location. The executive lounge offered basic snacks and refreshments too. But truly the biggest perk of this hotel is not having to go through airport security again or take a shuttle if you have a layover. Simply relax at the Frida Hotels until your next flight. It made my long transit so comfortable and low-stress. I'd absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, whether you have a short layover or need a night's rest. The convenience is worthwhile!

Although it is a reasonable distance on foot from the nearest subway station, Qingtang(清塘) Station, in addition to airport pickup, we also offer drop-off and pickup at the same subway station via WeChat, which was very useful during my stay. The drop-off to the airport is also set at 30-minute intervals from 3:00 am, so you can be fully assured that you will be able to catch your early morning flight.

The fact that the staff are a little short is a drawback. You may also have to wait a little for the bus to arrive, depending on the driver's availability.

My family and I were very satisfied with this hotel as it offered reasonable price, the woman at the reception was very friendly, and there was no communication issue even though they did not speak English because they used a translation device. The shuttle service was extremely helpful and made it easy for us to go to the hotel and return to the airport for free. The driver even waved goodbye to us when we left. My family and I are very pleased with the service at this hotel. If we transit again at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, we will stay at this hotel again for sure.

The complimentary hotel shuttle van service picked us up from the airport at about 0240 am on 04 December 2023.. Waiting time was 15 to 20 min. When we arrived at the hotel at about 0300 am and checked in, we were pleasantly surprised when the counter manager/staff issued us keys to two rooms just for three of us (we booked the price for only one room) - the kind gesture is greatly appreciated😊😊😊 The rooms were spacious and clean- one room had a living area. We slept soundly as we were tired. We left the hotel at about 0930 am on the same morning. The hotel van brought us to the airport (travelling time much shorter than from airport to hotel) As we left early, we didnt get a chance to explore the vicinity of the hotel. * The hotel is located beside a highway / road and obviously, one expects a certain level of noise generated but for us, it was bearable - we were soon fast asleep😊

Nothing that i could recollect or observed

Staff were very friendly as they even had a translator machine to help with any guests that could not speak Mandarin. The hotel had the amenities we needed like shower gel and shampoo. They provided an air shuttle bus to and from the airport and also car service to the nearest metro station Qing Tang. The staff also helped us book a taxi to SanShui using the car ride app as I could not register for it. They ensured the payment we made to them was all covered in terms of toll charges and told the driver when they arrived. The location of the hotel is convenient as it’s about a 15-20 minute car ride to terminals 1 and terminal 2.

The shower did smell a bit when I first used it but the smell went away. It can be noisy cos of the location being near the highway/motorway but having ear plugs solved the problem. The bed is quite hard but I guess I am used to a softer mattress in the UK. You need to re-register your hotel card at the front desk every night of your stay otherwise you cannot get into your room. However I guess that is their protocol and rules. It did not affect us that much. There is no breakfast offered at this hotel and there is not much local restaurants nearby.

We used this room as we had a lengthy wait between flights. We were able to check in at 10am. There was a free shuttle bus to and from the airport and a nice touch of being provided a bottle of water at check in. This hotel is a 10 minute drive from the airport. If you are expecting luxury this hotel is not for you. But if you are wanting a clean firm bed and en-suite facilities at a budget price then you will be happy, all required toiletries including toothbrushes, and combs were provided. The staff were exceptionally accommodating.

Very convenient budget hotel for spending a night between flights. Free airport transfer, good hot shower, comfortable beds - what else do you need? Great value for the money. The staff doesn’t speak much English but they communicate easily with electronic translators. We were not offered breakfast options (I’m not sure if they have any). We had some snacks with us and there was a kettle in the room, which was very helpful. The location is close to the airport but there is not much in the area and without transfer it would be a problem to get there (the taxi drivers we met speak zero English!) Also, we couldn’t connect to wifi at the airport to call the transfer, but we went to the information desk and the girls there contacted the hotel and told us exactly where to go and wait for transfer. It arrived in 10 minutes and we were not alone waiting for it. The hotel recommends to contact them on Wechat but I wouldn’t download it for only 1 night stay in China. After all, everything worked well and we are happy, thank you very much.

The price included pickup from airport and back when leaving, which saved us a lot, because the chinese internet is very hard to use for us we were basically unable to. The rooms were very clean and nice.

The staff didn't speak english and relied on a translation device, but it somehow worked out. There was no food at the hotel so we had to eat elsewhere. When we wanted to exchange money, we wanted an advice on how much to exchange just to get some food in a nearby restaurant, but they adviced us to withdraw too much money and we had to go spend them all so we don't exchange back, that was a bitt odd. Even though the room had a wifi, it was practically useless. Most web pages, whatsapp and messenger didn't work, so we had no way of contacting anybody. Super weird.
