We had a wonderful stay — the staff were warm and attentive, and they thoughtfully accommodated all our requests. The atmosphere was quiet and private, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We also appreciated the thoughtful recommendations for places to visit around the area. The hotel’s architecture, rooted in the heritage of West Lake Hangzhou, was absolutely beautiful and added a unique charm to our experience. Highly recommended for those seeking both comfort and cultural richness.

What’s there not to like?

The Four Seasons at the West Lake is a wonderful structure, set in a beautiful traditional garden, on the banks of the West Lake in Hangzhou. We appreciated quite a lot the peaceful atmosphere and the proximity to the gardens on the West Lake. Our room was huge, with a view on the hotel pond and garden. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, always ready to support in any way. Both dining options available are great, with food of high quality, impeccable service and beautiful atmosphere. Altogether it was a wonderful stay, we hope to be back soon.

The rooms were a bit aged ! And smelling damp a bit. And the breakfast was not exceptional! We always stays in Fourseasons and with the amazing location and amazing property the rooms can be upgraded a bit and the breakfast was not comparable with other properties. And no outdoor swimming pool.

Stayed at the Four Seasons in Hangzhou, and it was perfect in every way. The location is incredible, offering easy access to beautiful surroundings, and the rooms were spacious and elegantly designed – everything you’d expect from a Four Seasons. The service and amenities were truly luxurious, making it a memorable experience. While it was on the pricier side, the quality of the stay almost made up for it. Highly recommend for a splurge-worthy getaway!

This is a beautiful hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the main area. The drawback to this is you are stuck in traffic all the time to get anywhere. The staff are all very kind and welcoming. Amber and Lulu were especially helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. It’s a very expensive hotel so expect prices for F&B and the spa to be on line with that.

As a luxury hotel, I have to say you can ask for help or reservations or other requests before you check-in. E.g. you can book a table at its Black Pearl Chinese restaurant - Jinsha, or you can ask them to book tickets for Impression of Westlake - btw I got the best seats for the show,. The hotel owns a private garden besides Westlake, so you can enjoy a peaceful time for your wandering. Also it has a private dock for a reserved boat cruise or even plus a privileged breakfast course on the boat. Best location as well - very convenient for Linyin Temple or other temples near around or Longjing Village. Yes it is expensive, but if you want to have a terrific treatment for you and your families, I'd recommend to stay here at least once in Hangzhou.

We had a lovely time. The property itself is one of a kind, has beautiful garden, the boat experience is a must try! Service was exceptional, everyone we met there were so polite and nice. The staff here bent over backwards to fulfil my needs. I lost my wallet in Xi'An and thks to Jenny & Alex, they helped communicating to the local police for me. The room was just brilliant! Their indoor pool was super cool! The food at Jin Sha and the staff there was superb! The bath salt in the room smelled soooo good!
