I really don’t know how to explain. That was my third time in this hotel. I don't know how to describe it. This was my third stay at this hotel in a month and a half. The employees don't know how to be friendly and don't understand that the hotel lives off regular customers! They make you feel like you can be happy to talk to them. The only exception is Giacomo and the guys who accept luggage. The worst are the employees in the dining room! Unfriendly and unprofessional…….

Excellent room, like a new, perfectly clean. The room was silent, with no external noise. The reception was 100% supportive and nice communication. Highlighting the Italian guy who was so professional, and the communication with him was excellent. The breakfast is plentiful and has a wide selection.

However, it was winter, the sun heated the rooms during the day to more than 30C. The A/C cooling did not work. This is understandable from the aspects of cost-saving and environmental protection. But 30C was too warm. The spa area is not up to the standard of this hotel. It would be nice to improve.

The English-speaking staff, room cleanliness, room size, and location were all above expectations. The hotel was renovated in 2019 and is in a great location: close to line 10, which connected me directly to tourist hotspots -- and the Hong Qiao airport, which is great for domestic flights. Also unlike other hotels, this one had strong air conditioning in the summer and winter seasons.

Stronger enforcement of no-smoking policies. Although there are signs everywhere, other guests tended to smoke cigarettes frequently.

The staff was very accommodating and responsive to a few minor issues. The international breakfast options and coffee machine was greatly appreciated. Bar and lounge are comfortable, drinks were reasonably priced. Rooms and bathroom are clean and modern.

Troublesome check-in with miss-understandings and what seemed like a little deception by the gentleman at the front desk who stated I need to pay cash because they do not accept international credit cards. This is a bit strange for an international hotel, and I was able to pay with my business card with other staff members after.

The breakfast was great - wonderful combination of western and local food. Each day there was one western chef on duty. The staff were friendly and helpful, even helping to settle my daughter with a plushie when she was crying in the lobby. The bedroom was clean and the bathroom was modern and looked newly renovated.

The pool facilities need to be updated to match up to the standard of the hotel. The changing rooms felt small, dark and old, with the showers very run down and often had hair blocking the drains.

The suite was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday! I absolutely loved it here. I wished I spent more days here so I could just relax in the hotel since I’m traveling all over China. Honestly loved it. I couldn’t asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday. The staffs were also so kind and friendly. I would definitely come back and stay here.

Room, location and overall hotel is great.

To the hotel: If possible, try to train your staff/trainees better. We had to wait over 10-15min for a check-in as well as a check-out. On top, we had a check-in in the afternoon for one of our rooms where we already paid the deposit for both rooms. In the evening, the trainee told us that the second room booking doesn't exist (which of course couldn't be true). We had to wait over 10mins again until a manager came out and found the second room booking within seconds. The hotel is great but the reception is really weak for this price and this star rating. Sidenote: Not a language issue as we speak Mandarin fluently.

Breakfast is amazing. Really suggested. The Hotel is in stragic position next to HongQiao airport and train station , like 25 min by taxi, and 8 min walking distance from the closest metro station on Line 10 that takes you to airport on one side and to the Bund on the other side. Perfect. Hotel is very clean, nice, good gym. The only minus is that only a few people of the staff speak a decent English. They should improve the staff languages skills. Especially concierge. I will definitely come back.

They should have more English speaking staff in Hotel business..

The hotel is in a very good location. The cleanliness is at a high level and the staff, especially Mr. Giacomo, is at the highest level. Everyone would like to have such an employee!

The only thing that should change is that they should hire more English-speaking people at the reception...

Good value. Large clean rooms. Good breakfast (good value if you buy 24 hours ahead). Kids liked the fact that they somehow can get google and YouTube in the room

Other guests smoked in the hallway. I didn’t see them but smelled the smoke….
