We travelled around China for 18 days, staying at 8 or 9 hotels and this was by far our favourite hotel. The lobby is beautiful, and it smells lovely. They had multiple places to eat. Ping pong, billiards and the pool area was all well kept and clean. Breakfast was AMAZING, it was large with many options, both Chinese and western foods. Everything was labeled with the name and allergens, they also had multiple specialty coffee machines and teas. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Waters were provided daily.

Located in the business district so there wasn't anything immediately close. We walked a lot, exploring the area though and there are stores, restaurants and parks within a decent walking distance of the hotel.

Big, comfortable and clean room. Lot of choice for breakfast: Chinese, European and even Indian cuisine. Location is in the nice, business area, but not so close to metro.

They are charging very high deposit in random amounts. First, they charged us deposit that was almost as the cost of the entire stay, but the payment did not go through. At second attempt, deposit was app. 300 yuans higher. When we pointed that out and did not want to pay, they waived the deposit and we paid only for the room. Bottom line, negotiate the deposit! Chairs in the breakfast area are very dirty. Staff in the 5-star hotel should know English (only few of them speak limited English).

1. Staff In particular – Angela Qiu! She speaks English very well. She’s extremely polite, diplomatic, and clearly knows her job and the needs of the guests. She’s always ready to help with anything. Meeting her truly feels like gaining a kind friend in China. The hotel owes this high rating from me entirely to her. 2. Breakfast The breakfast is honestly amazing. There’s something for everyone, no matter your taste.

1. Facilities The hotel is a bit worn out and tired-looking. Everything feels quite old. This is a message for the hotel management — it’s definitely time for a renovation. 2. Staff The rest of the staff have a hard time communicating in English.

Good breakfast with a wide variety of Western and Chinese cuisines. Hotel lobby is spacious. Driveway is big and privately accessed allowing getting in and out of vehicles a breeze. Room amenities were good with a coffee machine. Some staff like Angela,Jessie, Mark and Tom were very friendly and helpful. TV had many channels showing mostly Chinese but a few English ones like Cinemax ,CNN.

It was more of a business hotel located in Hongqiao with a strong Japanese influence nearby. Lots of Japanese restaurants,Family Mart and Lawson makes you feel like you are in Japan rather than China. Walking to the nearest metro station is about a kilometre away. Hotel room and decor were outdated with old wood panelling. Don't know why we had to pay a daily deposit of 500 yuan which was promptly refunded on checkout.

The staff was really very friendly and helpful, espeically Angela from the front desk. The variety of the breakfast buffet was very good combining Western and Chinese fresh choices. The hotel and the rooms were always very clean. Air condition throughout the hotel was also very good. Rooms are very spacious and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Location is rather convinient to Metro Line 10 (10 min. walking). There is also a fast bus line in very close proximity driving to the Bund area.

Nothing to complain.

Very well managed hotel. In a vibrant part of the city, not too far from the city centre but with enough things locally to enjoy. Service was excellent. The room was exactly as described, with an impressive range of tv channels, including some good western ones. Amenities excellent. Including plush bar (with evening live music) situated in the lobby close to the entrance, a swimming pool, a couple of restaurants, and even an international exchange rate ATM. Breakfast superb. Loads of great food on offer, a really nice big seating area and exceptionally well managed. Using this app, I was granted the choice of a late (14:00) checkout, which I didn't take, but it was nice to have that option. Directly opposite the hotel across the main road, is a Japanese food street with at least a dozen restaurants and bars on it! Car parking available out front, and also taxis are on hand if required. Perfect stay, glad to have chosen this hotel. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

The property is a true 5-star quality, they never said no... We came at 5 am and they just agreed to a half-day price. The price from booking.com is excellent compared to other same-category hotels. So we were delighted in our stay with our 5-year-old.

Nothing, though not all workers don't speak in English, we have managed. Breakfast was good as china standard but as a Bangladeshi we loved a few dishes only. International guests especially Muslims may face a bit difficulty. we loved everything... a gem in Shanghai, especially for the price. We have traveled Shahghai and Beijing but no hotel can beat them. and their hospitality real good.

It was a very neat and clean environment, maintained by professional team members. Breakfast was also good. Very good staff giving quick response to each customer. Hotel was not crowded. Room size was good for two persons. All needful items for a traveller were there. There are several Chinese restaurants were nearby the hotel at walking distance. Hotel reception area and lobby was quite spacious. Parking also available on the ground floor. Price wise was also very reasonable. Hotel staff were ready always to book one line.

There were no grocery shops nearby. No currency exchange facility available inside the hotel.

Real value for the money. Room is ok. Clean, but need maybe little bit upgrade. Bed is good. Breakfast is ok if you are western and it is great if you are Chinese. Staff is correct and friendly. English speaking.

Not so much to complain. Location looks bit out of the city center but hotel is nearby metro (700 meters) and it is pretty convenient to travel. Breakfast is very crowded if you go early. But it is a worthy stay.

The buffet breakfast was great, the pool was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful

Be careful of the spa. I know it’s not affiliated with the hotel but I had a massage and kept getting upsold without realizing the exchange rate. Before I knew it i was charged 3 times what I wanted.
