This hotel was excellent — comfortable, with a great location, spotless cleanliness, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The room was spacious, had beautiful views, and the bathroom was very large. The highlight, however, was the wonderful staff. They helped us with our park tickets, explained everything clearly, and were always willing to assist us in every possible way. We are truly grateful for their support. They responded very quickly to all our questions via the chat service, available 24/7. They spoke English, and there was also free laundry available.

This was by far the best stay I've had in a long time, the owner is sooooo sweet and helped us plan our best routes every day, and if we would've had questions or gotten lost she would have been available at all times on wechat as well to help us. She made it feel like a home and we would absolutely stay here again when we come back, which we are planning to. The rooms are very spacious and the mattresses lovely and firm which is exactly what you need after very long days of hiking. Sorted my back right out. Stayed here for half a week.

It’s much more than a hostel, it’s a « travel agency » as well. The owners were so nice, they took tickets for us for all the sightseeing activities and they took so much time to explain us everything. So happy they did that! The hostel is next to the bus station which is great! We used the washing machine, which was great as well. The owner recommended restaurants, we had the best dumplings at one place.

Location: Very good location, just next to Wulingyuan Bus Station, easy to go anywhere, 7-10 minutes walk from forest Park. There are many varieties to eat around, including breakfast. Environment: Chinese style, the room is large, the Windows are large, the overall feeling is very comfortable. Hygiene: The bedding is clean, the disposable supplies are complete, and the cleaning staff does continuous cleaning every day. The most important point, the front desk staff will help explain the tour route, help buy tickets, there are discounts oh, especially suitable for us, very convenient. Great location, large comfortable rooms. Walking distance to the national park and lots of food. Lovely owner, very helpful with good English. Will help you organise any tickets you need for the area and give you advice.

No sound proofing at all, ongoing works outside that started at 6am everyday so don’t expect to sleep in. Can hear other guests around you, including when they use hair dryer and flush toilets.

the lovely hostess was the nicest person we met during our month-long stay in china. she speaks perfect english, helped us with reservations to all the important attractions in zhangjiajie at a discount. the rooms were exactly like in the photos, very clean and spacious, and they changed our towels every day. i wholeheartedly recommend this place.

we liked everything

Well located, super comfortable beds with bed warmers and hot showers. Summer who works there (maybe a family run place?) was so sweet and helpful! Made great recommendations and was always available on WeChat. Hotel is walking distance to park east gate and close to food street/night market. Rustic, quiet hotel, excellent value for the price!

Ideal place for exploring the park. You are a short walk to the entrance. The staff sorted me out with discounted tickets for entrance and cable cars (I don't know how it worked, but it did). You are around the corner from a long street with loads of late night restaurants which is a good way to reload after a long hike.

The street noise starts early and the rooms aren't soundproof. If you are getting up early to explore the park (which I advise you do) this isn't an issue. I felt the room could have been a bit cleaner. But then again, it is called a hostel rather than a hotel.

Nice place, and good value for money.

We had a room with a bunk bed (as shown in the photos on booking.com), but the beds were very uncomfortable, as they had no mattresses. Both top and bottom bunk had a thin mattress topper placed on top of the wooden panels, so it felt like sleeping on the floor. After first night we asked for proper mattresses but we were only given extra duvets to place down. So we had to double up the duvets and sleep on top of the duvet. The second bed on the side was comfortable and ok.

Very lovely owner, helped us a lot with everything we needed. The most special is we could communicate in English without translator! She could booked the show and the parks in advance with discount! We would love to give her tip but she is so honest and wouldn't accept any tip as we felt bothered for all our requests.
