I loved the place, it is like community, very private, super safe parking. Very spacious room, private bathroom, confortable beds. They have hamacas everywhere. Location is perfect as a stop midway to another destination, we did in our way to Tamarindo from La Fortuna. 1h to Rio Celeste Waterfall and 15min to Llanos de Cortes Waterfall, and close to the main road to North Pacific. The woman was so nice, she even got us coffee in the morning and she gave us a cup with CR flag, nice attention. Would definitely go back here and would highly recommend. Value for money

Very creative place, hand painted walks with tipical fauna, nice lamps around property, lots of sitting places and hammocks, secure place for car ( drive in) and good location to sleep when coming from Rincon de la Vieja and driving down to Manuel Antonio. Lovely staff. Very welcoming.

Not really a place for tourism, but very nice people running the place

The location is beautiful, the rooms are a decent size and equipped well with everything you need, very clean and well maintained, a short walk to town/grocery stores, lots of interesting animals at the property, good distance to attractions in the area, the owner Sonia was so sweet, she went well out of her way to help us sort out transportation and did everything she could to make our stay enjoyable. Her staff are also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Hostalito Del Greco to anyone in the Bagaces area.

A bit noisy at times, not much hot water, pillows are a bit flat

Sonia was so very helpful with every question we could have and the staff was very friendly and did an excellent job cleaning the rooms and keeping the grounds. We LOVED the animals in the yard. We also really appreciated the shared kitchen. It had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and a very nice outdoor dining area.

The beds were a little hard for our liking, but that's a matter of taste. Some people would prefer them like that.

Peaceful, nice outdoor space with shade trees, playground equipment, rabbits and domestic fowl. It is right in town (a grocery store just across the street), but very quiet. I liked that they close the gate and turn off the lights at 10:30.

The shower doesn't have hot water. (I would have been better off showering in the afternoon rather than the early morning!) No air conditioning, but we were comfortable sleeping with the ceiling fan.

The hotel is in its own secure compound, so you feel confident about your car and personal items. The property is very eclectic, with chickens and a huge peacock roaming the grounds, a caged rabbit on display, and a trained parrot that shouts “Pura Vida” at passersby. There is a communal, open-air kitchen and a large shared fridge (individual bins inside per room). Numerous hammocks and chaise lounges are scattered through the central plaza. Wifi reception in-room was good, and there was hot water at low flow available. Staff is exclusively Spanish speaking and pleasant. There’s a mini-super right across the street from the compound. I was touched to receive a small thank-you gift on my departure.

Ample parking, but beware if you have a low-profile car as you may not be able to climb into the spots. Rooms very close together and walls thin, but fortunately my neighbour was very considerate and quiet (as I tried to be).

Hostalito El Greco was perfect for our needs. 30 minutes from Libaria airport and from the Palo Verde National Park. Sonia was a great help organising a taxi and with buses. The small apartment with kitchen on the first floor had aircon and cooking facilities. We stayed three nights and each morning the room was beautifully serviced and cleaned. We took a taxi to the National Park with boat ride and tour. Highly recommend.

Best place of all in Costa Rica. And I visited many places. Host Sonia is such a charming, quiet and helpful person. Beautiful garden with cats, peacocks, geese, and a parrot which says "pura vida". Spacious room with private bathroom, private entrance from the patio, large window, huge and fully equipped shared outdoor kitchen. A supermarket is across the street, or walk 5-10 minutes to the sodas and restaurants in the village. This hostel provides everything you need, and you can feel that it is managed with much love. I felt at home the moment I entered through the gate, and stayed there until the last day of my holidays, leaving from Liberia airport which is 1 hour away by bus. Thank you.

Me and my friends only stayed for one night at Hostalito El Greco. The property was one of the nicest I've ever seen - huge and with so many different animals, it was amazing! The Owner is extremely friendly and helpful and even helped us ordering food from a nearby restaurant (as we didn't want to leave this beautiful property and just have dinner at our place). On top, everything was spotless and the rooms are big and have AC. I highly recommend you to stay at El Greco if you're happening to be in the neighbourhood.

Friendly staff. It is a simple hostel and that balances the price/accommodation quality. Wifi works very well (better than many other I have had in expensive accommodations). When leaving (I only was there one night) I even got a Costa Rica 🇨🇷 coffee mug. cheap place to stay over when you visit Palo Verde NP.
