Cielo Azul was amazing! Would absolutely stay again. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious, accommodations clean. The location in Tilaran is great as well. Most of Costa Rica is 1 lane roads, so travel can be slow. Tilaran places you about 1.5 hours from many beautiful locations: La Fortuna, MonteVerde, Volcan Tenorio National Park, Palo Verde National Park, each with its own different microclimate and ecosystem. Lake Arenal itself, where Tilaran is located, is beautiful and has many great activities and food.

Close to town with beautiful view of hills. Rooms are basic but clean and owners were a joy to talk with. Also, breakfast was very good.

Driveway is very step so it wasn’t as walkable as we’re were hoping but car ride to town was very short.

The people were very friendly. The location was great, and it was easy to keep us on our way to the next destination.

The locals are not big people, and the shower head was so low that I had to duck to wash my hair. And, if that's my biggest problem, life is good. ;)

The room was clean with a nice area to sit outside and a nice view. The breakfast was fantastic and the service couldn't be nicer.

Pool needed cleaning and the driveway up to the hotel is very steep with a deep curb that was dangerous. It's also a little hard to find at night. In

Super basic room but excellent value for money.

Excellent location halfway between Liberia and Monteverde. Included breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. We are birdwatchers, saw some interesting birds right from our balcony, even more along the farm roads near Chafi`s restaurant about 1 km northeast.

Driveway rather steep and narrow

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They gave us suggestions for places to visit and the room was quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast was perfect, the host had great info and I loved the room and view

Nothing was wrong so I loved my stay.

The staff and view were phenomenal!

The bathrooms were not great, the AC tube dropped at the top of the shower. The water pressure was great!
