I had the most wonderful room with a view from the balcony where I had sunshine until noon, perfect for breakfast or morning coffee. The staff were ever so nice and helpful and booked several tours for me, as well as giving me good advice about the surrounding areas. I liked the central location and that the facility was super clean. The family and owners also have a coffee farm and the delicious coffee offered on a daily basis (on the house by the way) is cultivated and produced at their farm. They offer a coffee tour to their coffee farm as well. And the staff speak English, if you're not familiar with Spanish.

I can't think of anything. Oh, it rained for two days in a row but who's to blame?

We loved the little living room outside of the downstairs doubles. The location is a 1 minute walk to town and restaurants. Staff is incredibly friendly and makes it a point to remember your name which is a nice touch. It feels very homey and comfortable. The homemade breakfast was wonderful. We got to try tamales for the first time!

Breakfast and checkout are much earlier than we are used to. We would have liked to sleep in a bit and hang out in our rooms until our next excursion. They did help us find things to do until our next planned activity.

Very nice room. The common area and the breakfast were awesome. The staff was really really nice. The location is great!

It's by the road and the noise of the cars and motorcycles during the night are annoying. At the front desk they have free ear plugs, but they are not enough to have a good rest.

The hostel is situated in a perfect location in the village center. Expect some trafic driving by at night, but everything is nearby/at walking distance. I booked a private room with private bathroom on the first floor. The hostel has a lovely view and there are benches on the balcony, where you can sit sheltered from the wind. The many flowers in hanging baskets make it a small oasis in this mountain village. The owners are friendly, the facilities in the kitchen are very good. Everything is super clean and tidy, value for money is superb! Santa Elena is a mountain village that reminded me of an Austrian ski resort in terms of atmosphere. Expect large differences in altitude, and a strong (cooling) wind that blows all day. I have been able to cover a lot of distances on foot, but that can be challenging. But there is a lot of beautiful and unique nature to see, so feel free to take several days to explore the area!

We booked two separate rooms, but they were so so tiny, so I requested little bigger rooms and paid extra $15 per room (Don't remember exact price) and moved to the rooms behind the kitchen. After using the sink/bathroom noticed the water on the side of the room and coming out from main door. Next day morning I did mention the issue to the manager (Marleny) on duty and she allotted us another room upstairs with full and 2 bunk beds (this is much much better than the other rooms). Location is great, It's less than 5 minutes walk to the restaurant's, super market, coffee shops etc. We booked the Bird tour from hotel and the guide was excellent. Great Kitchen and the manager offered us cookies, so kind of her.

There is no parking spaces like other hotels. Opposite to the hotel there are couple parking spaces we can park.

Really enjoyed our time staying here. The lady running the airbnb was so lovely and helpful and really made our trip special by helping us organise what we wanted to do whilst in the area. Really recommend staying here. Was also greet to have access to a shared kitchen with tea and coffee. The location was great too.

The rooms were on the slightly more basic side, but the property was excellent value for money so didn’t feel this impacted our trip too much especially as we were busy during the day time.

I spent two nights with a new friend I met while traveling at Cabinas El Pueblo. The staff was super friendly and helpful as we first booked separated rooms but it wasn't an issue at all to switch to just one double room later on. We didn't book breakfast but were treated with some nice coffee to enjoy in the mornings. Supermarkets, sodas, restaurants, souvenir shops and shops to book activities are all within walking distance. There are also multiple rooms with more than two beds so that groups or families can stay in one room.

Location was superb. 1-2 mins walk to the town and the supermarket. It's a cozy little bohem guest house. Decent sized, bright and breezy common area. The kitchen is a bit tight but I saw guests cooking cordialy. Our room was right by the living room with the red couches. Tiny room, but comfortable and clean. Staff was also super nice and friendly.

The kitchen gets locked at 8 pm for the rooms by the living room so we couldn't access the fridge between 8 pm to 7 am.

The people and location were superb. The breakfast was delicious. The owner went out of her way to do something nice for my daughter’s 13th birthday, which was very much appreciated. Cannot beat the value of this place!

My family of four divided into two rooms and they still felt very small. I’d highly recommend getting one of the bigger rooms, even for a smaller party. The beds were not the most comfortable. But, for the price, these are minor complaints.

This B&B was amazing, staff treats you like family, the food they make fresh every morning was outstanding and delicious. The staff will arrange tours, events, outings and any transportation at your request. My wife and I were here on our honeymoon, we didn't even tell them. They saw our post on fbook and dropped off a bottle of wine and some chocolates. This is why I prefer smaller accomodation locations. Everything is much more personal.

The only downside was it was next to the road so traffic noise early in AM was a bit annoying, but this sole issue can be solved by a pair of earplugs.
