We enjoyed our stay at hotel Poco a poco. We had a hot tub in our room which we loved and the room was very clean with good facilities. We organised trips through the hotel which were very good quality. Unfortunately our transport did not turn up for one of our morning cloud forest tours which meant we missed it, however reception helped up to organise an alternative bus to the reserve.

Though breakfast was good food the service you got depended on what time you arrived. If you arrived after a rush you had to chase staff for hot drinks and spoons etc. This was frustrating given the price of the hotel, I would have expected better.

We had a great stay. The location was fantastic if you want to be in the center of it all. Downtown was walkable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Both hot and cold items were offered. The grounds were beautiful and we even saw a toucan at breakfast. A little slice of heaven.

There was no exhaust fan for the bathroom, so it got steamy in the room after showers because of the humidity. Had to lay towels on the floor so we wouldn't slip. The room was nice but not very big.

Pool (with swim-up bar!) and hot tub onsite, and a very lovely garden to walk the grounds. Location is great— Walkable to downtown Santa Elena and restaurants and shopping, although the onsite restaurant was very good. Very close to all of the main Monteverde sights and the staff is helpful and can call taxis if you don’t have a rental car. Very nice shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion provided.

The swimming pool isn’t heated so it was a little chilly! Charging to the room was a bit confusing so make sure to carry some form of payment with you if you go to the restaurant or bar.

Property was very nice and clean with pool, hot tub, short walking path, and restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful with planning trips and transportation. Hotel is located close to restaurants, shops, and supermarket. Breakfast was really good!

The room was small for family of 4 with two full sized beds and little space for suitcases. Bathroom had very few places to hang towels and wet clothes. Construction noise started at 7AM. Luckily we needed to be up early for activities.

We wish we had more time to spend in Monteverde at Poco a Poco, as the facilities were awesome! We were a little worried that the 'no ac' would be an issue for us as we were there on some warmer than usual days, however, the windows with the cross breeze and the lower night temps made for an excellent night of sleeping on very comfortable beds. We took advantage of the hot tub & pool (ask for the Guaro sour at the pool bar from Pedro - you won't be disappointed), and the kids loved the roasting marshmallows at the firepit, where they made new friends. Dinner at the hotel was good (make a reservation as outside groups come to dine also). The included breakfast was amazing and had a large selection of choices. We had a vehicle, so can't speak to ease of getting to surrounding areas. It was an awesome stay.

Very comfortable. Only stayed two nights but room very comfortable. Used pool and hot tub one night which was nice after lots of walking. Good restaurants and town nearby

Rooms had a very fragrant air freshener or cleanser - we opened windows for cross breeze

It was very luxurious, and very friendly staff. There was a mix up with our room due to Booking, and the staff fixed it very well. We got a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel Omelet at the breakfastvwas very good!

The waiting time in the restaurant was quite long, although there were not that many guests.

The facility is fantastic the pools, hot tub are great the food is excellent the room was everything we wanted the location was convenient and central with ample parking. But what really makes this place stand out is the staff. Starting at check in. I knew they were something special. They are positive and bend over backwards to be helpful. From the bartenders who make fantastic concoctions with fresh ingredients to the desk staff that goes over and above to make sure you have everything to make your stay pleasant. My daughter forgot her bag and they arranged to have it shipped to my house for me. They are the absolute best

Super helpful and friendly staff. Lovely, well thought out (wind and rain in Monteverde!) pool area. Great food at the restaurant - even the free breakfast was incredible. Housekeeping did an excellent job with lovely folded towels and toilet paper. It is expensive than other options, but after spending time in the area and seeing the other hotels, this was definitely great value for money.

Our room was a little tired and without a fridge. That said, it was still immaculately clean every day and with all mod cons (usb charger bedside lights, safe, hairdryer, nicely fitted bathroom) - just due a lick of paint is all.

The staff at the front desk was exceptional. Upon my arrival I had concern about my night time jungle walk activity that I reserved but I wasn't sure where to meet. The lady (sorry, I forgot your name) at the front desk called around and found out which tour company I booked with and made arrangement for them to pick me up at the hotel. All the staff were courteous and had big smile.

The room A/C didn't have heater option. When I went Monteverde it was mid December yet the night was cold. I called the front desk and they brought in portable heater which helped a lot.
