Loved the secluded location away from busy Fortuna. Nothing like waking up to gorgeous views of Mt, Arsenal at sunrise from your bed, and all the birds, insects and trees just outside the balcony. Service is very responsive impeccable, villas are very well designed and the property is impeccably clean. Best value so far in Costa Rica for us.

Can’t say anything negative. They’re about to build their own cafe for breakfast and now have to rely on nearby Blue Hibiscus Cafe for breakfast boxes for early tour departures. Blue Hibiscus food is bad.

The view from the room was stunning, Arenal volcano framed by the jungle around it. Room was its own little house on the hill, felt very private. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Mistico hanging bridges are right across the parking lot from the hotel, very convenient.

I wish the hotel offered a daily shuttle to La Fortuna for guests. Traveling there without a car left us reliant on ubers and taxis, as there is no walkable route to any of the attractions in the area except for Mistico.

Nice modern unit, but disappointed in the view, which was more jungle and parking lot than volcano. We had hoped for more for the price. The lack of storage space in the bedroom was annoying. Very helpful, pleasant staff. Nice breakfast and pool privileges down the hill a bit at the Lost Iguana hotel. The best thing about staying here was waking up to the brilliant sunrise over the volcano. Being right at the entrance to Mistico Park meant that we could roll out of bed and enter the park at the crack of dawn when it was still nearly totally deserted.

It's an amazing place, the view is great and you get to see wildlife from your window or on your way back to your villa in the evening. The staff were lovely as well, very approachable and helpful. It's also right across from Mistico park, so you can just walk there and enjoy a hanging bridges tour.

Unfortunately the property itself doesn't have any facilities and we had to go to another resort down the hill for breakfast and other meals, or if we wanted to use the pool. The property is also kind of far out of the town and to reach it for more food options you need to drive through the busiest road in the area where all the tourist activities and attractions are = constantly stuck in traffic. If you're okay eating at the resort where the breakfast is every day for lunch and dinner as well, then you'll be fine, but we didn't find it the best quality and it was very expensive for what it was. Just sharing for people to have this in mind when booking, otherwise totally worth the trouble especially if the weather is clear and you can enjoy the fantastic views from your villa.

Loved this location and the wonderful staff at the front desk. Luis and Franciso were so helpful in booking adventures for us and so kind. We had the villa #2 which was perfect in every way. Privacy, the two terraces, the kitchen, the bed, ALL of it exceeded our expectations. We loved falling asleep to the rain hitting the leaves at night and listening to the birds in the morning wake us up. Villa was modern and spacious and literally a walk across the parking lot will take you to view the volcano from the Mystic Park parking lot. Loved every moment and we would come back in a minute. Thanks for a memorable trip!

Best hotel we stayed at during our trip. Breathtaking views of the volcano from the bed and from the shower (see photo)! It’s right in the jungle and next to the entrance of Mistico Park with the hanging bridges. It has a lush garden and in general the whole place is beautiful. Pure luxury. For breakfast, you have two choices: a small restaurant 50m away or Blue Hibiscus restaurant, (2min by car, but they offer a shuttle). Choose Blue Hibiscus. We tried both, it is incomparably better.

I didn’t manage to use wifi on my iphone. My friend’s android worked like a charm and he had very fast internet connection. The smart tv couldn’t properly use the wifi either. It might have been some setting on my end, we will never know, but the smart tv should have worked fine with the wifi… You need a car if you stay here.

An absolutely stunning room with floor-to-ceiling windows, a balcony, and incredible views of the rainforest and Arenal volcano. Great in-room facilities, including a safe, fridge, minibar, and an exceptionally comfortable bed—one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. Breakfast was included and was very nice. The nearby Lost Iguana restaurant was great for dinner, offering excellent food.

The bath in the bathroom was extremely high and difficult to get into, which actually felt a bit unsafe. No grab rails in the bathroom, making it even harder to use the bath. he walk to the Lost Iguana restaurant was pleasant going down but very steep coming back up—not ideal after a big meal!

Sangregado Lodge is an amazing stylish place with incredible energy and juicy nature around! It's even better in reality than in the pictures! But our stay was also so unique and perfect because of the professional work of the Sangregado Lodge team! Larry saved our holiday and helped us with one big problem! He even took his time to show our kids some animals on the territory! Francesco and Bryan were also very helpful and even reserved us last minute hot springs!!! And its perfectly clean!!!! We are traveling a lot in Costa Rica, this accommodation is our best experience! Pura Vida!

Accommodation in Sangregado Lodge was over so fast!!!

We arrived early, and the staff tried to arrange a first available room for us, so we got to move in a little earlier. The room was beautiful and clean, and the view was open and amazing. We enjoyed the quiet setting with only the natural sounds. We especially like the full-panel windows in the bedroom and bathroom.

The restaurant works with the lodge wasn't good. The food was overpriced, US$45+ for a small steak and wasn't good. A seafood casserole wasn't really a casserole dish, instead, very watery small portion of some seafood melody type. The next morning, I noticed the coffee cup still had obvious lipstick residue on the rim, it is not acceptable it happened at a restaurant of a resort.

Proximity to the el Mistico bridges was perfect, the staff were wonderful - very helpful and polite. The view from the room of the volcano was spectacular. And being able to see if from the shower as well was lovely. The espresso machine in the room was a really nice touch.

For some reason there is no clothing storage whatsoever. No hangers, no drawers… nothing. It just makes no sense. There are a couple of hooks for towels in the bathroom and that’s it. A kettle would have been nice. The property supplies tea bags but no way to make it. A little thing that would be nice.
