The location and the grounds where Kokoro is located are amazing. Even if we couldn't see the volcano because of the rain, it felt like we were in a lost jungle paradise. The private hot springs are a real plus! The staff were all exceptionally helpful and welcoming, especially on New Year's Eve, when the sweet owner organized a little party for the hotel guests with speeches, live music and awards.

The only thing that I thought it could have been a little better was the food served in the New Year's Eve buffet, but everything else was well organized and clean.

Beautiful location, surrounded with amazing nature, just perfect! The mineral bath was the best!! Comfy beds, nice tiny house, everything clean! Thank you!

Everything! The host's attitude toward the customers was extremely helpful - she accommodated all our requests and went out of her way to make our stay better. In fact, the entire staff was excellent (including the Gardner who came in early to show us sloths on the property). Do not plan any outings (even transportation and food) without first consulting the host - she will get you the best price. Finally, the property and the cabins are so pretty.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing personnel. Enjoying just being at the hotel. Very relaxing. Good option of restaurant with simple menu, but good food. 15 min trail. Wild life frogs, tucan, slauth and so on. The wild life is free and could or not be found during your stay, this is really natural.

Transportation ideal if you rented a car. At the reception they provide help to go to LaFortuna and other destinations, but it could take 10-15 min to arrive.

The property is beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous. We saw so many different types of birds on the property. At night, we saw many types of frogs around the pond, too. The hot springs are very relaxing and pretty. The staff are wonderful as well.

I would say there isn't anything we didn't like. They offer alcoholic drinks like mojitos, but they are not good. If you are going to offer a mojito, make it with fresh mint, limes, sugar... Muddle it... Use rum and club soda. This tasted like it was a canned mojito cocktail drink poured into a glass. Also, we are dinner in their restaurant one night... The food was average. Other than that, everything was wonderful and it is a great place to stay.

We are here during the rainy season and did not anticipate seeing the top of the volcano, however, we were able to see it on several different occasions from our Kina and the view was incredible. We loved walking around the property. It was so beautiful! The breakfast had lots of choices and the location was also great. Front desk staff were super helpful in directing us around the property. Two in our party had massages by the mineral Springs and said they were some of the best massages they’ve ever had and they were half the price of what they would pay at home. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well at night to help reduce the humidity. We rented two separate cabanas for two couples, and they were both quite large and had good showers.

I was a little disappointed with the mineral Springs. It was smaller than I anticipated, but we still enjoyed the three different temperatures of the pools and then getting into the cold swimming pool afterwards. The spring was like being in a sauna so the cool swimming pool felt great. There was a traditional hot tub by the pool, but it did not seem to be in operation.

This property is located off the road, just deep enough to avoid any traffic noise. We felt like we are in a resort with a beautiful garden. The view of volcano is amazing. The reception area is filled with different styles of chairs and is completely open. You feel the open space. The breakfast has fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, rice, beans, eggs and other stuff. Wish they served cappuccino. But you can get one by just walking out to the road at a coffee shop. The hot springs have 3 pools and are mostly empty. We enjoyed them every day for 3 days. The staff is friendly, especially Yat. He suggested a place in town for dinner and we ended up going there for all 3 nights! It was hard leave this paradise!

The room could use a mirror for ladies outside the bathroom 🙂

The view of Arenal Volcano from our porch was outstanding. I loved having our own building for our room. The hot springs felt amazing, it was so hot we could only handle the 1st one. The breakfast was good. You can get coffee and snacks anytime at the reception. It’s a Japanese styled resort and the overall feeling was super relaxing.

There were some hills to walk up and down on a paved sidewalk to get to the hot springs. The mattresses on the beds weren’t the most comfortable but after sitting in the hot springs, I had no trouble falling asleep.

I love being surrounded by nature, surrounded by all the beautiful plants and wildlife. It rained during my stay, which made it more magical. The view of the arenal volcano is right there. I only had breakfast there, which was really fresh and didn't seem processed. LOVED LOVED LOVED the mineral hot springs. It's a great option, being that it's right on site. The springs look murky only because of the minerals they contain. They pump it fresh with new water every morning. I plan on staying here again in the future.

Amazing amazing amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They helped my son pick a coconut and then opened it for him, also gave us flashlights to enjoy all the amazing frogs at night. Breakfast so devious and a little different everyday. The property was so lush and beautiful and well maintained. We loved our little lodge accommodation it fit our family of 4 perfect. Fresh coffee in the open air reception area every morning was so nice. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait to come back.

Update the hot springs the paint is chipping quite a bit and floating in the pools.
