The staff and environment make it a true paradise. My husband, young daughter and I made the most of the amenities which include 8 hot spring pools, a restaurant, cafe overlooking the Arenal volcano and the spa treatment. But the true gem is our experience with employees. I’d like to give a special thanks to Samir for guiding us in our bookings. Thanks to his knowledge and kindness we were able to make the best of our stay exploring the volcano forest, Mistico park, Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate farm, Fortuna Waterfall and the rafting adventure with Arenal rafting. He booked top transportation to and from each excursion to fit our needs and maintained us informed each step of the way. Paradise Hot Springs Resort exceeded our expectations. Pura Vida!

The hotel is lovely, very lush with planting, and well cared for grounds. We were amazed to see the pools emptied and cleaned daily. The hot spring pools are the star attraction (as they should be), and my 10 year old spent every moment he could in them. They didn't get too busy whilst we were there. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The housekeeping staff work very hard. We particularly liked the volcano viewpoint cafe and swimming pool. The snacks and drinks were very good up there. The breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Get your waffle or omlette order in 1st...as there is one lovely man making them and it can take a little while. The dinner menu wasn't to my taste but we managed to find things to eat. All in all, a hotel with amazing pools and grounds. My sons pick for the trip and it was exactly what he wanted 😁

This place had a magical atmosphere! We spent the second half of our honeymoon here and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Most of the pools were incredible and provided a peaceful experience, though the lazy river had an unpleasant smell, and we regretted getting in. The servers and bartenders, didn’t seem very friendly and often appeared annoyed with guests. However, the reception staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was overpriced and low in quality, and while the free breakfast buffet was quite bland, it was still a nice convenience. The location was great, and the rooms were immaculate and very comfortable.

The staff was great but we had to ask for coffee replenishment (they cleaned room but forgot to do this) The food for breakfast and dinner was subpar for the price. We also ordered chicken wraps that didn’t come with anything it was supposed to but the chicken but we didn’t notice until getting to room and by then too late to request or get another one We kept asking staff about the surrounding areas, recommendations etc., none of whom we asked knew anything and were not from the area.

Second time here, Paradise does not disappoint!! This is our destination place for hot springs!! Paradise is located near other hot springs that offer day passes (Paradise offers day passes too), something we were going try during this trip. However, Paradise had everything we needed and more; we had no desire to leave the property. The room accommodations are extremely comfortable, clean (and I am a clean/neat freak) and spacious. My husband loves the TV that you can actually see. The room layout and the bathroom area is practical and utilizes space efficiently. For two people, we highly recommend the junior suites. The staff is stellar; gracious, helpful, friendly and polite. EVERYTHING worked - from the WiFi to the hot showers. The included hot breakfast is plentiful, with a variety of options AND they offer a different variety daily. The swim up bar provided great drinks and lunch options. Room service at night spoiled us completely!! The various hot springs pools are clean, well appointed and absolutely amazing!! They are strategically located close to the rooms, with plant barriers for privacy. All in all a consistent, amazing experience. As usual, we wanted to stay much longer.... HIGHLY recommended to all.....this is truly PARADISE on earth!!!!

We splurged and got a room with the volcano view and in-room jacuzzi. It more than met our expectations. There were 3 rooms - the bedroom, bathroom and jacuzzi room. The bedroom had two recliners and the balcony had rocking chairs. There also was a walk-through closet. Very private and quiet. Everything was super clean and in very good shape. Breakfast was good. The thermal pools were very nice. We went at night. Parking can be tight if you drive, but we didn't have any issues. Staff were super nice and helpful. We didn't want to leave!

This was a beautiful, clean, relaxing oasis! They were very good about having us arrive early on check in day to enjoy the pools until our room was ready. The entire pools area felt like a wonderful, lush tropical paradise. I wondered if the stone loungers would be comfortable... they are! The array of different temperatures, depths and configurations was nice too. The maintenance was amazing..the grounds were well kept, the pools, common areas and change rooms were clean. The room was well appointed and clean. Water pressure was lovely! We liked how the property backed onto farmland and the view (not from the pools but at the back...make sure to check out the cocktail lounge) swooped up to the volcano. Breakfast was ample and very good. Dinner was a bit pricey but nice.

There wasn't really anywhere walkable to go outside of the property. This wasn't a problem for us as we were only there one night and didn't want anything else, but, if you stayed longer and didn't have a car you may feel isolated and / or it would be pricey/time consuming for shuttles/taxis. The pools are the one and only attraction, again, not a bad thing but something to be aware of if you are looking for other things to do.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect to go La Fortuna center and the hot spring is relaxing.

I paid a spa package while in stay and it’s 3-4 times more the price than fortune center, I was expecting better service but that night no one of the hotel warned us about the noisy ktv event in the restaurant which was just in front of the spa center, the experience was horrible as I could not rest and relax at all, it was unbearable noise and I felt more anxious after. It’s better to pay less and go the center for that, the massage is better and the environment is better too, chill.

The hot springs were wonderful. room was nice but would prefer a bathtub to a shower, no tv in English. Netflix was available in English but nothing else. Excursions are harder than you think and cell phones can run out in three hours leaving you w/o your waze gps, and lost. It gets dark by 6pm here so head home early. , Also, waze app is essential if you have a car but it may take you across a mountain on an unpaved road which freaked me out, rocks potholes and crap in the road everywhere. If it says an hour to get somewhere double the time to get there. Also get gas When you see a place! Gas stations are not prevalent in the mountains. the locals are very sweet and helpful though. The post office is downtown behind the church. El Carrero to buy stamps for postcards,

see above, Driving may be dangerous at night. You have to have WAZE app as streets and highways are very poorly marked. very sore from the excursions. 3 hours of horseback riding (too long) and two hours of tubing which was not relaxing. The tubing here is very rocky with rapids. It is a workout and stressful .I an still sore two days later. Bring pain medicine ie tylenol or aspirin.

The room was specious and clean. Perfect shower. It’s very good there was a dehumidifier, because in other hotels sometimes the humidity was too high. Hot springs pools were excellent. We also had a dinner at the hotel restaurant. Everything was tasty. And seviche we liked the most.

The mattress was too soft, not very comfortable. Also, would be good to have some fresh vegetables on the breakfast. But as I understood in Costa Rica this is an issue in every hotel.
