The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. It is beautifully located on a hill about 8-10 mins from La Fortuna Main Street so you get a clear picture of the Arenal Volcano. The included breakfast options was not only delicious and extremely well varied, but a super plus specially coming in handy for those days with all-day activities. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The facilities were very well kept and pool/hot springs area with the in-pool bar/restaurant serving a full sushi menu among the typical American options a favorite for our teens. We also appreciated the hammocks by the open green area and the other 2 on-site restaurants serving upscale artisanal food.

The beds were a little hard and pillows small

We had a fantastic stay at Arenal Springs. The whole complex was spotless and the staff were extremely attentive. We appreciated all the little extras including towel animals being left on our bed every afternoon with chocolates and snacks in the fridge. The pool and hot springs were lovely, clear water, never too busy to get a lounger and staff constantly walking around to provide food and drink. We also enjoyed meals in the Italian restaurant which was superb. Food and drinks are fairly pricey, equivalent to London prices in the UK but it was very good quality.

The only thing to note is that the hotel is not walking distance from La Fortuna town. However reception will happily organise a taxi for you.

We had the most amazing time in Costa Rica, and it was the highlight of our trip—and one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had globally. Nestled deep in the lush jungle at the base of a volcano, this resort offers a truly unforgettable experience. The setting alone is breathtaking, with nature all around, sounds of the forest, and views that make you stop and soak it all in. If we had known just how incredible this place would be, we absolutely would have planned to stay longer. The staff were exceptional—warm, caring, always smiling. We felt genuinely welcomed and pampered in a very natural, unpretentious way. It felt like we were truly special guests. There is so much to do in this region—from waterfall hikes to hot springs and wildlife watching. It's the perfect place to connect with nature and unwind in luxury. Honestly, this stay reminded me of the tranquility and beauty I’ve experienced in Andaz Bali and Thailand.

I would stay in this property again in a heart beat. Every member of the staff is kind cheerful and welcoming from the guard gate to the housekeeping. Breakfast is over the top. The hot springs are so inviting that we chose not to spend a day at some of the more “famous” and elaborate ones nearby. Welcome drink provided! Parking convenient. Rooms comfortable. Conveniently located about 10 min drive from town- so I do recommend a car. Oh and did I forget the view of Arenal Volcano? Gorgeous!

Rooms need storage for clothing. Closet areas a bit dark. Poorly enforced “adult areas” at the pool. A little rough that the sink, the shower and the WC in the same room. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. And please, remove the full length mirror from in front of the toilet!!

Exceeded expectations! The idea of meeting guests with a free cocktail of their choice and refreshing towel goes a long way! Territory, rooms (more like a separate cabin) are exceptionally clean. Yoga in the morning was amazing - the view from the deck, instructor, hot tea after practice - a great start of the day. Breakfasts are amazing too - buffet with a big variety and delicious fruit. They can also make smoothie of your choice. And of course, hot springs. If your goal is relaxation you wouldn’t even need to leave the territory of this hotel. They have it all.

The resort staff greeted my whole family warmly at check-in and provided free cocktails and mocktails that were delicious. The rooms were private and very comfortable. The thermal pools were great, the free breakfast was probably the best meal of our whole trip with a huge variety of food. They had a free daily yoga class you could register to take. Every staff member was friendly and helpful.

We ate at the pool bar for dinner our first night and the food was really overpriced for the taste and small portions.

Beautiful location with great view of the Arenal volcano. The grounds were well maintained. The hot springs were a highlight. We enjoyed relaxing in them at the end of every day. The staff was very friendly, especially towards our baby. The included breakfast was great, good variety and tasty food. My husband is celiac and they had many gluten-free options at their restaurants.

The beds were a bit hard and the pillows were too thick. There were also many little ants in the bathroom (probably coming in from the ‘’outdoor’’ shower).

First, the pictures do not make it justice (which is usually visa versa). Not even close. The resort is beautiful! It's like a boutique, with rooms located in small cottages, two per room. Very private, very clean, very decadent. The hot springs are amazing. We couldn't get enough. The breakfast was excellent - lots of choices, all is fresh, helpful accommodating staff. I did complementary yoga in the morning and had a massage in spa. All is 5 stars. I am glad we choose the place, with the deciding factor being traveler's reviews.

Everything was fantastic!!

The resort overall was very cleanest I’ve ever seen. Everyone was very nice and informational. They always gave their best! The breakfast was over the top. I wasn’t expecting much however a smoothie juice bar, lots of vegetarian options, variety of breads cheeses, jams, pastries, hot foods, and a omelette bar. What more can you ask for! There are plenty of hot spring pools for everyone. We never felt it was over crowded and if it is, what’s wrong with a little fun. The pool bar is one the best serving drinks and full meals or snacks from their sushi restaurant. The property is maintained beautifully and not outdated besides maybe the rooms. They do need an extra chest of drawers to put away clothes. Included is a fridge with one time fill of mini bar - water bottles, coke, beer. If you’re celebrating any occasion, let them know! And the welcome drink can be alcoholic and nonalcoholic which was really nice!

Only need more chest or drawers in the room

Breakfast was incredible!!! Staff very friendly and room was clean. We had a room at the back of the property and didn't feel it was too far to walk, but some may. They do have golf carts if you prefer not to walk. The hot springs on site were clean and fun to have access to. My daughter and I had massages and they were some of the best massages we've ever had! I highly recommend this property!

This is a very minor thing, but maybe just a few more options for pillows. Ours were a bit flat and hard, but this is truly a minor thing overall.
