This was our second stay at the hotel. We loved our stay here five years ago so much we wanted to make sure to stay here again. Originally we wanted to stay for two nights but due to its popularity only one day stay was possible for our scheduled itinerary. Our experience was fully satisfactory again. The hot spring is still the “must” for us and we enjoyed thoroughly for two days (even before checkin time and after checkout time. Staff, all of them, were epitome of kindness and prompt attention and professional service. They all speak English fluently too. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the dinner at the hotel springs was also first-rated. Next time we travel to Costa Rica we will definitely schedule our itinerary early enough and around this hotel’s availability for at least two nights. We had two rooms, both of which were meticulously maintained clean and high quality bedding. Shuttle van operated very frequently with very minimum wait time.

We could not reserve for two nights that we planned for Arenal Volcano area. The hotel is very popular. We really wished we could stay one more night but had to move on to Monteverde. Our “neighbor“ guest family members were talking aloud outside our room for a while at night but once they got into their room to carry on their conversation it was quiet again for good sleep.

The Thermal pools are amazing! The rooms were nice overall, loved that the shower water was from Thermal source. Really liked the attention to detail from staff.

I didn't like that the Thermal pools were in a separate location to the hotel and we had to take a shuttle.

The whole experience at Tabacón was exceptional. It is expensive and we were (to be honest) expecting it to be quite busy with little space for a personal stay. However, this was absolutely not our experience. We were amazed at how private the thermal pools felt. There are so many places where you can sit with your own group completely secluded from others. The service was amazing and the quality of the food, drinks was also very high. An expensive trip, but certainly well worth it after 3 weeks of traveling through Panama and Costa Rica (a little bit of TLC for the family).

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and were overall satisfied with our stay. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay enjoyable. We were particularly impressed by the sensational hot springs, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, a recommended accommodation for a relaxing stay with the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the area.

However, it’s worth noting that the room was somewhat dimly lit, and we had to step outside to see the promised volcano view, as it wasn’t visible from inside the room. The breakfast offered at the hotel is overpriced for what it provides.

The hot springs are amazing which is walkable from the hotel, but the hotel also provides a shuttle. The staff is super friendly and very personable. The hotel is really beautiful and extremely clean. The room looked out into a lush garden. We watched birds and animals in the rainforest that was right outside our room. Very safe, very beautiful. The breakfast is 10/10 with all you can eat where you sit next to the pool in an open air restaurant. Very delightful.

The room next to us had a baby that cried all night. The wall between us was not sound proof. It was very disturbing to hear on and off during the night. We did not sleep well.

Loved everything! Lifelong memories. Wonderful experience all around. Definitely worth the price. My husband and I spent our anniversary here. My second time staying here and it’s just as wonderful as it was 10 years ago! The staff are so welcoming and helpful, the property is exceptionally beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and attention to detail, everyone gets a robe to wear to the hot springs (even kids), world class natural hot springs! We did the Tabacon Experience couples spa treatment (wonderful mud massage in the middle of the jungle) and we ate at every restaurant, which were all spectacular. You can eat in your robe at Ave restaurant after spending the day in the hot springs which was fun! Be sure to try the tasting dinner menu at Tucanes (make a reservation for this restaurant). Overall, a very magical experience in the jungle. Plus so many activities in the area that the concierge can help you arrange.

The location is great, staff is very professional and helpful, the activity agency desk :Jacamar gave us great ideas and experiences during our stay. We booked a room with two queen beds for 2 people, the room is spacious but I don’t find the experience too cost effective for 2 people for a long stay. The accessories in the bathroom are average, it was lack of basic amenities such as hair comb, q-tips etc. If you like the spring and spa a lot, then Tabacon is definitely the place to be. The pool bar is very fun and their cocktails are delicious !

The hotel is very nice. Staff was super attentive. We loved the hot springs. They have 25 different pools.

If you book directly on their website breakfast is included. So best to book directly with them as bookings doesn't include it and it's 30 per person. I already paid a lot for the room so it doesn't make sense that it's not include it.

There was a good variety and the service was exceptional. We had Helen as our server several times and she was excellent in every way. Helpful polite and friendly. Also , Betty - hostess - I asked her a question about the orchids and she didnt have the answer but went out of her way to get me an answer and the next time she saw me she had an answer she obtained from the florist that came in. That was above and beyond what I expected.
