The room was basic but clean and comfortable. These are small, self-contained cabins with a view of Mount Arenal. We drove to the site in a 4-wheel-drive hire car, which was needed for the steep roads in the area. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were able to have our laundry done. We especially loved all the birds we saw while staying here - more than we saw at any national park!

The breakfast is okay but nothing to write home about. More interesting options are available but not included in the price of the room. The site isn't on the usual pick-up route for tours. The shower head needed fixing. It was more like a tap running than a shower.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. The kids (ages 7 to 17) all enjoyed the pool and facilities. They had board games that the kids enjoyed in the evening. The staff even went above and beyond and assisted when my sister fractured a rib zip lining. The entire family had a great time, we wish we would have stayed longer!

Location was perfect for exploring the area, and gave amazing views over the volcano and mountains. The room was spacious with private outside areas and plenty of sockets. All the food massively exceeded expectations. The staff were very friendly and helpful, accommodating personal requests and helping organise activities and transport for us.

Great view of the volcan directly from the bed. Staff really nice and helpful. I had a payment problem with one card which resulted as the amount frozen on my account. They did the necessary to resolve it quickly. And Christian, one waiter of the restaurant is very friendly and funny and give good tips about what to do in the area.

Bad smell in the bathroom when we arrived, they fixed it but it started smelling bad again the day we left.

The views, staff, and food were absolutely incredible.

The beds were a little bit squeaky and hard but still pretty comfortable.

Everything, but Roberto made the best Piña Colada and even brought it to the jaccuzzi in a rainstorm 😃
