The property was an easy taxi ride to Liberia Airport and a close to walk to Walmart and a few restaurants. They organized the taxi for me, which was very helpful.

The rooms are super simple. My room (0), was close to reception, which meant hearing conversations, laundry, cars pulling up and other noises. I was worried this would continue throughout the night… however, it died down as the evening rolled along, so over all I slept well, as my flight was early. I wish the room had a coffee machine, as the restaurant didn’t open until 6am and I had to leave long before that.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The room was basic but had what we needed for our one night stay. We got there later in the evening and we were happy that the attached restaurant was still open. Food in the restaurant was great!!! The ladies in the restaurant were so helpful with information. (My Spanish is sub - par but we were able to communicate just fine.) The location is away from the center of town, but we chose this hotel because of that. Interbus makes a stop at the hotel, which we used to get to Monteverde. They arranged a shuttle pick up for us from the Airport to the hotel. Daniel (shuttle driver) was a really nice person. I would recommend him for any shuttles in the area or to other parts of Costa Rica.

It was a great experience staying in a hotel located on a quiet neighborhood street instead of a major street. If you are traveling like me, and needed a placed to stay for the night until my flight left the next day, this is a perfect resting spot. We got the shuttle to dropped us off at McDonald's down the street, and it was a short 10-20 minute walk to the property.

Reina was super accommodating and friendly…..she arranged cabs. She even paid for a cab with her own money as we had been robbed earlier in the week and hadn’t gotten to the bank yet. Another employee, Andre (only 16);spend a lot of time talking to my husband and even wrote a goodbye note on Google translate saying we always have a friend at Hotel Del Rio. How sweet.

The room didn’t have any glasses, cutlery etc even though it had a kitchenette.

We had a wonderful stayed. The hotel has a car park, the room was bigger than we thought and had the essentials. The restaurant served delicious breakfast

My daughter and I needed a budget hotel that was clean and in a safe area in Liberia to spend the night before our morning flight. This hotel had good reviews, and the rate was very reasonable. We were only spending less than 10 hours in the hotel. The hotel was located in a quiet neighborhood. We arrived around 7:30 pm and rang the doorbell outside the reception. The person came from outside and was friendly. He didn’t speak English and glad that my daughter did. We requested for a taxi to take us to dinner and made a reservation for transportation to the airport in the morning. He was the one who will take us to the airport in a nice SUV. He was very helpful and helped us with our luggage to our room. The room was clean and had minimal amenities. It had a mini-fridge which was nice. I highly recommend this budget hotel.

It's a good find . The owner is genuinely happy to welcome you in his hotel . Not far away there is a big shopping center with many restaurant . I am happy with my experience .

There was a bird , in the morning , with an annoying , monotonous "song" . Not the hotel fault

This hotel was perfect for our 1 night stay while passing through Liberia. It was clean and comfortable and the on-site restaurant provided us with good Costa Rican style dinner and breakfast. Reina at the front desk was very helpful in providing directions to the town centre and bus station etc.

There were some loud voices in the courtyard late at night.

close to airport, good value for what you get. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Quiet.

If using airport shuttle services, make sure you have cash to pay the taxi. They did not use card services and when we got to the Airport the atm it did not have cash. It created a very stressful departure for us. Uber might have been cheaper with less hassle.

It was clean and beautifully decorated! Beds were comfortable everything you needed in the room, except coffee!

Advertise the restaurant, which there is a small in there, but it’s only open for a couple of hours in the evening so I ended up flying with no breakfast.
