Gated area. All units are apartments. With full size kitchen. Food store is right around the corner, and it has drug store inside. Nice pool. Parking is right next to the building. 8 minutes walk to the beach.

The Hermosa Paradise is a group of apartments on the lower and second floors of the complex. There are a small number of apartments and we seemed to get the one with the largest balcony which we were very happy with. The apartment was self contained having a bedroom, sitting room/kitchen, bathroom and balcony. Both the sitting room and the bedroom had air conditioning. Private parking was available and accessed by a key code, which meant that it was secure. We were in an excellent location with the super-mercado at the end of the road, with the beach and local restaurants no more than a 10-15 min walk away. Cleaning of the room and changing of towels and sheets if necessary are offered every 3 days and we found the service was very good. If you are in Playa Hermosa, stay here.

Room was big and had a kitchen and a balcony, which was fantastic. Parking was secure. Grocery store nearby. Easy to get the key and have everything working without needing to go to reception.

The room could definitely be cleaner. It was clean-ish, but the windows needed a thorough clean and so did the kitchen and shower. Kitchen could use more / better dishes / appliances. The balcony wasn't clean. Also, when we entered the room it had a very strong smell of cooking (smelled of raw eggs, which was terrible) and should have been aired before our arrival. For the price we paid I expected a bit more attention to details

Nice, big rooms. Very well equipped with kitchen essentials, and kitchen appliances. Received a room with accessibility elements: excellent to see the property is aiming for accessibility compliance. Booking, information and attention to requests, as always, was excellent.

Very minor stuff: room layout a bit unusual (shared kitchen/dining/sleeping area). An interior design review could be helpful. Suggestions for better accessibility compliance: bathroom needs a few more elements (grab bars and adequate handles) for ADA compliance. Fixtures and furniture need to be checked for correct ADA height. Door a bit misaligned and hard to lock/unlock: careful with that detail especially in an accessible room.

The room size was very good. The kitchen has all the appliances you need. The pool was good, and there is a grocery store around the corner.

The bed was not good, and it definitely needs to be upgraded. There is no hot water. The kitchen sink and shower have only one tap, and it's not heated. I understand it's a hot climate, and a cool shower can be refreshing, but a little bit of hot water would have been nice.

The location, the room, the pool, the market convenience, the nearby beach, the warm friendly smile of the office staff. This motel was exceptional and I would stay there in a heartbeat again. Everything was perfect. You felt it was your own space in paradise. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Our family liked the apartment style hotel. It had a very practical kitchen and a big refrigerator. The kitchen helped us cook some of our meals and save some money. We enjoyed the balcony with dining table, and the outdoor clothes rack which helped us to dry off our wet clothing from the beach. The kids liked the pool. I found the place to be comfortable and the staff clean and courteous. The final cost was a bit pricey but I guess that is more of a Costa Rican overall issue. Playa Hermosa is a rather small beach with fewer local restaurants and shops and less touristy than other beaches along the Guanacaste coast. However, we still found everything to be over priced even in playa Hermosa.

The internet was spotty. There were multiple networks but the signal kept dropping. The Aparta/Hotel is not that close the beach. It would have been a bit of a walk with my two young kids. Lucky for us we had a car.

The location was excellent. A quick walk to the beach. And just down the street from the best restaurant we have eaten at- Ginger. The staff was lovely and the communication was excellent. The room was spacious and balcony was quite large. Plenty of hooks and places to dry towels and bathing suits.

Our room was adjacent to the street and was quite loud at times. Thankfully it wasn’t loud at bedtime.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was clean and generally well maintained. Location worked well for us. Secure parking if you have a car.

Some of the sun lounge chairs should be replaced. Music played by some of the guests was a bit loud during the day at times.

Lots of space in the 2 bedroom apartment for the 3 of us - my husband, sister and myself. Very clean with nice bathroom with a great shower.15 minute walk to 2 areas of Playa Hermosa beach. Great balcony with a forest across a busy road so saw many birds there. Very good air-conditioning which made the apartment very comfortable as it was hot while we were there- 32-36C during the day. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Good supermarket underneath.

Sofa was, of course, a sofa bed which are never very comfortable. The ktchen had all the basics. A kettle would have been nice to have (a tea drinker) and sharp knives. The stove was out of the 1940s with sold electric burners --slow to warm up and not hot enough to saute. Freezer was good for making ice cubes but not for keeping the delicious Dulce de Leche icecream hard. I find it annoying to always have to buy salt. The balcony which overlooked the road was noisy when deliveries at the supermarket. We planned to get around by local bus which are not setup for tourists but for local working people. It involved a lot of waiting for the buses -- I advise renting a car if you want to visit more places. A couple had a golf cart - gas as nowhere to plug in electric.
