Hotel was lovely and clean, beds were comfortable, pool was clean with towels available to also use for the beach. Sitting area outside the room was nice and spacious with a comfortable lounge. Breakfast was pretty basic, but we were prepared for that. Staff were really friendly, giving lots of tips and advice including letting us know about the waterfall further up the beach which was really nice. It was raining a lot so we weren't able to do much but chill out, which was what we needed anyway, this was a comfortable place to chill.

Maybe have some yoghurt and cereal available on the breakfast table rather than the pastries which were pretty dry and seemed a little old. The Shower head in the bathroom was also pretty basic and could do with replacing.

Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast very punctual which mattered for us catching our dive boat. It was very useful being able to use the tumble dryer.

We were there during exceptionally heavy rain and it tended to flood over into our patio area. (Not into the room, though.) The entrance from the road also didn’t always drain and you had to get your feet quite wet getting in and out. Mind you, the roads of the whole town were like rivers at times.

Breakfast was great. Well prepared, buffet style, so there was always lots. Fruit was delicious, as was the coffee, which is always available. Amber's staff are so accommodating, and she herself was very helpful, and available. Our room was absolutely immaculate, and the pool and grounds were meticulously maintained daily. The outdoor patios are all equipped with a table and chairs, a lounge chair, and most have hammocks as well. And who doesn't appreciate a pool 15 feet from your doorway. The kitchenette was very handy, and there were a lot of extras to borrow, including beach equipment, books, and what have you.

The mattresses were a tad on the hard side, but from previous experience that's the way it is in CR. We got used to it pretty quick.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's just a block away from Coco Beach. It was nice to have an apartment with 2 bedrooms (only 1 bathroom though) when traveling with friends. Especially the big, comfortable veranda for shared time. We appreciated being able to use their laundry one night-just ask staff to help. It was a new concept for us to bring plates, etc. from our apartment kitchen, to get our breakfast, which was the usual fare, and plentiful. Very good air conditioners and Wi-fi. Everybody enjoyed the clean pool.

Beds were not very comfortable. We had to ask a second time, late in the day, to get our room serviced with clean towels and sweep up the sand.

The room was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen. We had a full and two twin beds, off of a private feeling patio. The patio was lovely, with lights, a table, chairs. Breakfast was self-serve - bring the dishes from your room to a table, and carry it back to eat on the patio. It is about a block from the beach and a block from the busy shops and restaurants, which was great. The room was colorful with fun paintings, and the pool area was very central.

When we arrived, someone was doing repairs on furniture using a staple gun right outside the room. It was a bit noisy. The streets near the hotel are fairly dark at night and we felt a touch unsafe. But it is very close to a very busy tourist street, and everything we needed was easily within walking distance. At breakfast, my husband was greeted by another guest who was complaining about his hangover to everyone who walked by, which was a bit unnerving for our children. But overall we had a very nice stay and would come back.

The location was pefect - short walk to the beach and beach side restaurants, and also a short walk to the main shopping/restaurant street, but with no associated noise from either. The staff were very helpful, the pool was lovely (and hardly used during our stay, except by us). We liked the low-key and 'quirky' nature of Toro Blanco, and were very happy with their focus on reducing waste, e.g. we liked that towels and linen were not changed daily, so unnecessary and wasteful.

Exactly what we needed for a week diving Location is super central, parking safe, staff super friendly Swimming pool warm and clean, a cat as local mascot Yes, the hotel has seen better times. However, it is exactly what we needed. And they had some flexibility on the last day.

Breakfast at 7 was a bit late if you have activities planned. Otherwise, tip top.

The location was excellent. 2 minutes to the beach, 2 minutes to the Main Street. We loved the cute patios each room had. Breakfast was great and there was a beautiful breakfast patio for if you wanted to be social. Nice to see so many fellow Canadians there.

The beds were not great.

Very good location near the city center. Good property where you feel safe. Ample parking. Comfortable room with good A/C. Wifi wasn't completely reliable, but worked well enough. Good breakfast, not much to choose from, but pretty good food. A good value.

Would like more breakfast variety.

Close to the beach, there are other better beaches nearby but we had a car and enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was nice to have everyday. The place is very pretty especially at night with the lights around the pool. It is within waling distance of some restaurants and bars.
