The location was perfect - close to the national park for hikes and hotsprings and not far from the liberia airport (1 hour-ish) The tent we stayed in was amazing and had a beautiful view! The grounds were kept very well. The pool area was clean and beautiful, slide was fun too! Hot tub was great to hop into in the evenings. We even saw toucans here!!! Jorge the owner runs the place and he is a wonderful person all around. We had great conversations with him and he had great reccomendations on different things to do! They can cook you meals throughout your stay - they were a great price and amazing big meals! If you're reading this - book it now, you'll love it too! We can't wait to go back!

The owner is wonderful and accommodating. He serves delicious meals for a fair price. The pool and hot tub are nice, quiet and immersed in nature. The view from the balcony of the studio rooms have a beautiful view of the ranch where you can relax. Rooms are clean and you can make a basic breakfast. Water was hot. The horse ride was also very beautiful and had some nice views at sunset.

We were in the 2 studio rooms. They are very bare bones, for example the beds have minimal cushioning, no bath mat, or place to hang towels in bathroom. But, As the owner said when we arrived, is a ranch, not a hotel. The room was clean. Both nights we were woken by upstairs renters at 5:45 am, and construction adjacent to the rooms at 7am. Only circulation in room is if you keep the windows open at night, otherwise it’s hot inside, even with fan.

We loved this place. We stayed in the upper room - the only thing that could've made it better was if it had it's own deck/porch to sit out on to watch the sunset. We were only there for 1 night, but it was a relaxing evening. My mom went for a walk in the morning, some of us just hung around the pool. We paid for the family style meal and it was delicious. But we had the facilities to cook our own meals had we wanted.

I just wish our unit had a porch/deck to sit out on to watch the sunset.

Jorge is an amazing host, very friendly, always available and happy to help to anything you need. The room was cozy and clean, the pool with the water slide was great for the kids and the dinner was delicious, kudos for the cook. The setting is also very nice.

Getting there is not easy, the roads are really bad, but that's not on the ranch

Loved the authenticity of the ranch, the owners and employees! Everyone was very helpful and flexible! We enjoyed the location which was a bit remote and also a great base to explore multiple volcanoes and natural wonders in the areas. We had horseback riding and zip line activities in site and were able to enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub… with the water slide, which the kids loved! The food prepared by Gabriella was very tasty, best Costa Rican cuisine we had on the trip and we enjoyed the newly added bbq and fire pit installed by Jorge and Rolland. Kids loved the well behaved and cute dogs! Simply a great stay for those that are looking for a real Costa Rican experience!

Some furniture in need of repairs

We stayed in the large four bedroom apartment and it is huge. The windows have screens so the wind blows through the apartment and cools it off at night. Kids loved the pool with the waterslide and the jacuzzi. We had dinner one evening and it was very tasty. Jorge is a great host, very helpful and friendly. We did the horse riding tour which was great, beautiful scenery and the staff was very flexible and friendly with my daughter who was a bit nervous. The road to get there is not great but a lot better than we expected based on other reviews.

Nothing. The accommodation is basic, but that is clear from the description and photo’s.

As a family of four, two kids of 13 and 10, we enjoyed our 3 night stay at the ranch a lot. We had a comfortable room, with a spacious veranda and a nice view of the surrounding nature. The kids really had a lot of fun in the swimming pools, with tobogan slide and jacuzzi. Even though it was a bit drizzling, they had a very good time! With the guidance of the friendly owner Jorge, we also managed to spot some nice birds like Tucans, Caracara, Woodpeckers, etc. The ranch also has a nice trail for hiking.

Roads in the area need a bit more maintenance (potholes)

I liked how quite it was. You could see all the stars in the skies and hear lots of crickets at night. The host was exceptionally attentive and welcoming.

My only suggestion is to oil the bathroom door hinges as it was very loud to close and open that door. Also adding a few forks to the utensils in the kitchen.

Loved the dome accommodation and amazing views of the countryside.

The restaurant environment.. a bit like a outdoor children’s summer camp The pool slide was not working and the jacuzzi was not in action/ turned on I booked a ride which was nearly an hour late although the ride catered well for my request

We had a brand new globe room/tent with a beautiful view of the sky and surroundings. The nature was beautiful and refreshing. The two swimming pools are great. Jorge was a great host, kind and full of great information.

It is missing a small cosy restaurant/bar area well-placed in the nature.
