I was really impressed with the breakfast at Hotel the niu Solingen. The buffet was fresh, well organised, and had a great variety of options both hot and cold. From fresh bread and pastries to fruit, eggs, and good coffee, everything was delicious and regularly restocked. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. It was the perfect start to the day

While the service could definitely be improved it felt a bit inattentive, I understand that this might reflect the overall pricing level, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly.

The price per night is reasonable. Parking is convenient and charged extra. The breakfast is also charged extra and is adequate. The twin room was good but could do with a second fan or a larger fan during heatwaves. The location is good, being in the centre of Solingen. The staff were mostly very nice and service-minded.

There was a problem with the electronics connected to our room. This meant that we had to get a new electronic key every time we returned to the room, and we couldn't charge bar expenses to the room.

The first and foremost: the staff at the desk and during breakfast is amazing! So kind, helpful, caring! I hope they all get a raise, it is the staff that made the stay in the hotel so excellent. The hotel itself is nice, clean, comfortable, with small disadvantages.

We were unlucky to stay during hot days, so the fact that hotel lacks air conditioning and fridges in the room was really bothering. Otherwise, pleasant stay.

No aircon

Good selection of meals served for breakfast. Bathroom in the room very clean and the room itself. It was a bit to hot and stuffy when I entered the room, but opening the window solved the situation.

When I arrived at 1 am it the hotel parking was full and I had to look for the free place outside on the street. Then the reception informed me that I can use the other parking (there was no sign with information on the street, which parking belongs directly to the hotel and what is the alternative).

Good location, clean, quiet. Beds and pillows OK, big parking, easy access to downtown. Arrived past midnight, receptionist was fast, helped with parking and I was able to have a rest very fast.

A little bit outdated, floor covering needs some good wash due to odor. It was very clean, however does not smell fresh. Also very tricky to run hairdryer - buttons on front + push at the back… Well, some sign would help.
