We were helped by a guy named Ahmed during breakfast, and I just have to say—what amazing service! He was super friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. He saw my husband setting our stuff on a table and quickly offered us another one with more shade, which was much more comfortable. My husband’s juice didn’t look great, and before we even said anything, Ahmed offered to change it and brought a fresh one right away. Honestly, it was the best service we’ve had in a long time in the Netherlands and during our trip. To this hotel and Ahmed—thank you for the great service!

It is the only hotel in Huizen, so it is the default choice. However, the price was fair and room very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and did not ask me to pay a 15 euro "penalty" for arriving at 14:05 rather than 15:00.

The breakfast was pricy at EUR 18.50. But, there are no alternatives within an easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Huizen, though walkable if the weather is clement and you have time. The 15:00 check-in time is a bit late in the day - 13:00 is fairer. But, as you see, arriving less than an hour before 15:00, it was not enforced.

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Netherlands regarding the location and the cleanliness of the rooms. Beautiful view and very nice equipped rooms.

Receptionist doesn’t know how to welcome guests not a single smile or a greet and when we ask for something it took her ages to do. Breakfast was not as expected, when we arrived we found almost everything finished although it was still within the opening hours of the breakfast, no tables were clean, so We had to wait for someone to come and clean which wasn’t quick!

We had a room with view on the water, and we spent quite some time watching the boats come in and out of the harbor. It was a very nice view. The room itself was correct. We gathered a lot of info on what to see in this region from the reception. The place where the hotel is, is a super beautiful traditional and well maintained spot. Very cute!

The doors were heavy, so it was a bit inconvenient to move in and out with all our bags. Also the breakfast was a bit pricey (40€) but yummy.

I LOVED the way the buildings all have different colours and styles, and were designed to resemble and old-style fishing village. This was a brilliant idea. It was not too far to walk into the village (about a half hour) and it was interesting to see the architecture in the residential area you pass along the way. I happened to be there on King’s Day so I got to experience the village festivities. The hotel complex is perfectly situated for people wanting to stay for a day or two before or after their river cruise, which was why I booked there. It is a BEAUTIFUL complex. I also appreciated the wild flower/bird/insect garden.

There is nothing to dislike about the property.

We had a room with balcony, which was fantastic, unfortuately it rained a bit while we were there, didn't get to enjoy it much, but would definately recommend it. It was in a lovely location next to the water with some great walking tracks near by. Nothing is too far in Huizen, we walked everywhere. The Restaurants were great, quite a few to choose from with a variety of food and drinks.

Bike hire was a little expensive, there could offer a discount for people staying at the hotel. The breakfast was european, with cold meats and stuff, but for Australians it wasn't what we normally eat and so didn't really enjoy it. Only ate there once for breakfast.

I love the view, and the room was cleaned well everyday. Laundry service is nice too.

Could add the shelves in the shower, AC not working for the whole 10 days but front desk gave a heater and a fan. Breakfast is a bit pricey but the egg salad is delicious, unfortunately the second time I iget breakfast it wasn't there.

good facilities, friendly welcome, good breakfast. Huizen is a wonderful fishing village with a rich history in both fishing but also in broadcasting. Much better value than Amsterdam, while being near enough for a quick car or train journey.

Still waiting for a copy of the bill since I paid for these guests as a present. Huizen does not have a rail connection so you really need a car to get to this location.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The surrounding area had a good selection of places to drink and eat, and a small park to keep the kids entertained. The gluten free breakfast was good, with a selection being offered.

Unfortunately we couldn't check in on time, but the staff made up for this and it was worth the small wait.

The overall impression is good. Nice rooms, location is beautiful, directly on the lake and harbor. We had lovely room with balcony. Room was clean, they have a pillow service if you need more or other pillows.

As so often with the Fletcher hotels, it's in the details. Nobody had time to put the pillows from the seat on balcony away during the rain? All pillows were soaking wet and moss was growing on them, so it was not just forgotten once. Shutters in room partly broken. It's these details that make the difference between good and great stay.
