Great location. Train at doorstep. All shops & varied eateries within walking distance. Large woodlands/heathlands on doorstep for walking/cycling. Clean room. One firm bed out of two. Good aircon in room. Lovely staff. Great breakfast buffet.

Many noisy when slamming shut internal hallway doors. Many smoking guests just outside the front entrance and overtaking the small outdoor alfresco seating area. Was given dirty towels on multiple occasions, but these were immediately swapped when asked.

Location 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central 2 minutes walk to the railway station trains every 30 minutes and also has a direct connection to the Airport Nice outer suburban area quite at night only noise is the trains going past and they don't make a lot of noise as they are all electric powered Very good service from the staff and they were all multi lingual to make it easier for us who don't speak the national language

The room could do with an upgrade in the lighting to brighten things up

I was working at Science Park for a week and could not find a place to stay in Amsterdam that would be both affordable and conveniently placed, so I opted to stay in Bussum instead. Bastion Hotel was a great choice for that! It is located right next to the train station from which a Sprinter for Amsterdam leaves every half an hour. Thus, my commute to Science Park was easy after having a very nice breakfast, and when I was back the room was spacious and comfortable so I could continue working and relax at the end of the day.

The dining area is rather small so it can be a bit of a hassle to get a seat at busier times of the morning.

The experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing, with all aspects of my stay exceeding my expectations. A standout feature of the hotel was the exceptional hospitality provided by the staff, particularly a lady named Stella from Greece. Her friendliness and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to my visit, making my experience memorable. Stella's attentiveness and professionalism significantly enhanced the overall quality of my stay, embodying the high standard of customer service.

One minor suggestion for improvement would be to provide one use slippers for guests. The floors can feel somewhat cold at times, and having slippers available would add an extra layer of comfort to the hotel's already excellent amenities. This thoughtful addition would surely enhance the overall guest experience, making stays even more cozy and enjoyable.

We had the best time in Amsterdam and the stay in this hotel is absolutely lovely. There is a sprinter train station 1 min away from the hotel and in 6 stops you will be in Amsterdam Central. We will choose this hotel again since we really loved the location. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was also great.

Pillows were smelly, which was very weird, since this hotel is so clean. Maybe they were just old. Luckily we brought our own pillow cases.

Directly in front of train stop, meat and cheese on the breakfast, staff very friendly.

Cleanliness needs more attention, bathroom so small it was uncomfortable, not enough outlets, breakfast price too high, not fitted sheets so always coming untucked, not good communication because our messages were never responded to.

War alles gut, danke. The manager was very Kind and Achtsam. She realized my frustration and handled the situation very well. We enjoyed a good laugh together and even a hug of proudness.

booking.com confusion, too many emails, and not good communication between venues and .com service I book an double room, canceled on time, or at least made many attempts. rebooked a single room, as requested . When I arrived, I had two rooms. The Manager kindly took care of everything to my satisfaction but the time I spend on the phone and email prior to arrival make me frustrated to arrive and it looked as thought it was all in vain. I am done with booking.com

The hotel is perfectly located right beside Bussum Zuid station, making traveling to and from Amsterdam super easy and convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-connected base near Amsterdam!

Friendly staff. Check- in and - out was smooth without queuing. Check- in and- out times were generous compared to many other hotels. The location next to the train station was a great plus to visit Amsterdam. Great surroundings for walking and biking. We had a room at the back-side and did not hear the trains passing by .

I personally did not like the prominent artificial (flower ?) scent in the room. However, there could nothing be done to get rid of it.
