It is the only hotel in Huizen, so it is the default choice. However, the price was fair and room very comfortable with a nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and did not ask me to pay a 15 euro "penalty" for arriving at 14:05 rather than 15:00.

The breakfast was pricy at EUR 18.50. But, there are no alternatives within an easy walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Huizen, though walkable if the weather is clement and you have time. The 15:00 check-in time is a bit late in the day - 13:00 is fairer. But, as you see, arriving less than an hour before 15:00, it was not enforced.

I LOVED the way the buildings all have different colours and styles, and were designed to resemble and old-style fishing village. This was a brilliant idea. It was not too far to walk into the village (about a half hour) and it was interesting to see the architecture in the residential area you pass along the way. I happened to be there on King’s Day so I got to experience the village festivities. The hotel complex is perfectly situated for people wanting to stay for a day or two before or after their river cruise, which was why I booked there. It is a BEAUTIFUL complex. I also appreciated the wild flower/bird/insect garden.

There is nothing to dislike about the property.

We had a room with balcony, which was fantastic, unfortuately it rained a bit while we were there, didn't get to enjoy it much, but would definately recommend it. It was in a lovely location next to the water with some great walking tracks near by. Nothing is too far in Huizen, we walked everywhere. The Restaurants were great, quite a few to choose from with a variety of food and drinks.

Bike hire was a little expensive, there could offer a discount for people staying at the hotel. The breakfast was european, with cold meats and stuff, but for Australians it wasn't what we normally eat and so didn't really enjoy it. Only ate there once for breakfast.

I love the view, and the room was cleaned well everyday. Laundry service is nice too.

Could add the shelves in the shower, AC not working for the whole 10 days but front desk gave a heater and a fan. Breakfast is a bit pricey but the egg salad is delicious, unfortunately the second time I iget breakfast it wasn't there.

good facilities, friendly welcome, good breakfast. Huizen is a wonderful fishing village with a rich history in both fishing but also in broadcasting. Much better value than Amsterdam, while being near enough for a quick car or train journey.

Still waiting for a copy of the bill since I paid for these guests as a present. Huizen does not have a rail connection so you really need a car to get to this location.

The overall impression is good. Nice rooms, location is beautiful, directly on the lake and harbor. We had lovely room with balcony. Room was clean, they have a pillow service if you need more or other pillows.

As so often with the Fletcher hotels, it's in the details. Nobody had time to put the pillows from the seat on balcony away during the rain? All pillows were soaking wet and moss was growing on them, so it was not just forgotten once. Shutters in room partly broken. It's these details that make the difference between good and great stay.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The surrounding area had a good selection of places to drink and eat, and a small park to keep the kids entertained. The gluten free breakfast was good, with a selection being offered.

Unfortunately we couldn't check in on time, but the staff made up for this and it was worth the small wait.

The room was a very affordable accomodation.and the setting is quite picturesque. The beds were very soft and the room's cleanliness was outstanding!

In the evening, my room's lighting is very low. The bulbs themselves are as bright as night lights, or the dimmed bulbs you'd experience in a restaurant on date night. But the room is really a great room if you can't past that minor issue!

Absolutely everything, the location the choice of places to eat and drink, the people the staff, they were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

We didn’t have another day to stay, cannot say anything bad about property, and if I am that area again, I will certainly look at staying here

Very nice junior suite, comfortable and clean. Helpfull staff and great location. We will definatly come back here again.

If the room had a little fridge, that would have been great. A little light in the corner where the big mirror is situated would be my advice. And a little place to put your showergel/shampoo in the shower would be easier for people who have issues with their back/knees.
