Check-in and Check-out process handled by K.Bow was super easy and cordial. Breakfast spread is good. Dinner with live music, fire show and also vegetarian options for Lunch & dinner was commendable. The travel office for tours just besides the hotel managed by K.AO is very helpful with information and with lots of options of day tours and also for rental bikes.cars etc. The pool, beach ,location everything was good !

The stay could have been excellent from good if they could have taken care of the following two basic things (1) the path leading to our villas was really slippery and my husband also had a fall . Given that the staff knew about it no one did anything (like scrub out the slippery moss or clean ) especially given that it is a rainy season it should have been taken care of (2) Removal/Clearing of food plates post eating both in the room and at the dining area had to be reminded several times.

The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very comfortable. The double beds were big and I had some great sleeps. I also love the different pool options and the great view of the beach. It is also in a great location and easy walking distance to restaurants.

I think that the rooms and pools need some fresh paint as I noticed that things were starting to show some wear and tear. As well, it's so frustrating that all the pool/beach chairs are claimed before 8am and it's impossible to get ocean view lounge chairs without getting up super early. I think that this practice of claiming chairs but not sitting on them for hours should not be allowed.

This accommodation has two sides. Overall, it features excellent architecture. The effects of time and weather are not yet very visible, so the property remains clean. The price for this accommodation is very high and only makes sense if you're staying in the private beach villas Deluxe or Paradise. Other available types of accommodation do not match the price at all and are overpriced. The breakfasts are amazing.

If you stay in other parts of the hotel, the price is completely unjustified—you can find the same quality elsewhere on the island for a quarter of the price. The Deluxe accommodation on the hill is located across the road, so you have to cross the street to access the main hotel. If you choose a room right by the pool, you'll be disturbed by children playing in the neighboring pool, who often climb into your private pool. While the room is architecturally spacious, it's poorly ventilated, so there's a constant smell of mold embedded in the wooden interior furnishings. The air conditioning is also very noisy. Unless you're staying in the beachfront villas, you'll likely be disappointed with what you get for your money.

The hotel is very nice and located at the start of Koh Chang. The pool area is very nice and the breakfast offers a good variety but still not a 5 star level. We had to change our room as the first room had a strong moist smell.

- no cheese in breakfast - do not offer a buffet option for dinner - the floor of our room was always wet if the AC was kept at 23+ degrees. Otherwise everything becomes wet (mirror, TV, floor, furniture). - Our room was on the hillside (other side of the road), so everytime you have to cross the road

Our room was separated by only a door to the next room. It was not soundproof. Shouldn't rent the rooms out as 2 separate rooms like that. The hotel needs a small face lift to call itself a 5 star hotel. I would rate it 4 star.

All staff were kind and serviceminded. Best part of the beach. Great villa. Nice breakfast. The hotel restaurant, although on the pricier side, was excellent. Beach massage was great. Clean. Calm, relaxed vibe.

The villas are very different in terms of location. So it’s a lottery if you for example will have a blocked view or not. Almost impossible to get a sunbed by the main pool/beach thanks to people waking up at 7am to ”reserve” a sunbed for the whole day…

Excellent location, great beach and very clear and clean sea water. The room and bathroom were sizeable, pleasantly decorated. The bed was wonderful. Super super king size. Breakfast became a little boring after some days.

What really disturbed to us is that at 07:30 in the morning 90% of the beach chairs at the main swimming pool near the sea were already occupied by towels, NOT PEOPLE. Some people only arrived at these chairs around 11 in the morning. Result of this practice is that people who come later to the pool/sea on the first day, they have no chance to get a chair. The hotel really should take action against these practices as it is really annoying and spoils the wonderful feeling you have about the great hotel, location, staff etc.

Fitness club, pool, breakfasts, staff, parking

Too many people are reserving pool & beach chairs all day long - but never using them.(or only for a very short time), without removing thier towels when they leave for an extended time - not fair!!!. Please remove towels from chairs after 1 hour of not being used.

Great room with pool access. Staff was amazing, the staff from the beach resturant came in to the gym with a small cake to congratulate me on my birthday. The breakfast was great. Delicious and made in small batches wich made it so it was never left in the open for too long and alot of options. The pool and poolbar was great. I could go on but because almost everything was great

The gym was very limited. Dumbells up 20 kg and a small cabl machine. But you can't really expect more from a hotel gym. The water was just a little bit too cold. Minor complaints in comparison to the good.

Reception staff and bellboys were very friendly and welcoming. Also the cleaning staff. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was allright nothing special. Bacon was somehow tasteless. Eggs Benedict Tom Yam was nice. A lot of choice. Thai food was really great (massaman curry you have to try, if they have it, even though it's breakfast). We once had food in the hotel for lunch on our last day and it was surprisingly good! Loved the Tamarind sauce prawns and the fried squid. French fries were also nice. Happy hour cocktails aren't worth it (also not clear when it's happy hour). Small glasses and have to buy 2 and get one free. Better is to try the KC secret cocktail for the full price and double size the glass. Beach was pretty (for Koh Chang). If you want really pretty beaches go to Koh Phi Phi (high prices) or Koh Larn (most people aren't as friendly). If you are looking for very nice people and a tropical beach jungle feel Koh Chang is the Island for you. Many people aren't sure to choose KC or Centara I've seen in my research. So we stayed 4 nights at KC and 6 at Centara. We still don't like which one we like best even though not the same. Because they both score good on different things: Breakfast is flavourwise better at Centara for foreign food. For Thai food it's the other way around (I'm a good judge as I've spend over 7 years in Thailand). Lunch / dinner is a lot better at KC. Organisationwise (management wise) KC is way better than Centara. Very calm and pretty nature at Centara with huge green spaces but a prettier beach at KC. Location of KC is closer to 7eleven (next door) and some restaurants that are fine but not great, bars and laundry places. Massages around KC arent great. Best to have a beach massage at the hotel. Its worth the double price. Cosy feel. At Centara you have to walk about 7 minutes before you hit the big main road.

Restaurant and bar staff could be a bit more outgoing and friendly.
