The front desk reception individual was very rude and unprofessional. His initial assumptions of myself and my guest was very disrespectful and upsetting. He was dismissive and unaccommidating to my request. I had to speak with a manager for better assistance. He then tried to intervene by calling the manager while she was assisting me. Very unprofessional. Location good, front desk service very dissatisfied.

Property, comfort, staff, and location exceeded my expectations. We appreciated 12 pm check out as most hotels place check out time at 11 am. The extra hour is helpful! We really enjoyed the large selection at the breakfast buffet as well. We will be back; my children made me promise! Thank you Riu!!

I did not like how all members in the party must go to breakfast at the same time. As a family, we are up at different times and some like to get their coffee in the am first thing, while others like sleeping in. ***UPDATE***- the whole family went as a group to breakfast. Exceptional service and good breakfast choices. Not set up as a "grab and go." Overall, very pleased with hotel and kind, honest staff.

Really close to Times Square. Nice clean room, ok size. Well organised in relation to luggage for early arrivals and for people leaving late. Organised transport to airport that was considerably better value than well known ride service.

Elevators weren’t coming to ninth floor when called. Had to use stairs twice. Bathroom has a glass sliding door. Doesn’t insulate sound (you can figure that out yourself😀)

Fabulous location, wonderful staff, great breakfast.

The location was fantastic. The quality and selection of foods for breakfast was really good. Breakfast is a military operation, and it has to be because it is very popular. The staff were attentive and helpful. The hotel is kept very clean and the Riu scent is lovely.

There is often a long wait for an elevator, particularly around breakfast time. Also, it is confusing having two hotels with very similar names to close to each other. The only thing that distinguishes this one from the other Riu Plaza Times Square is the inclusion of Manhattan in the name. I initially went to the wrong hotel.

We enjoyed the breakfast. The first day was very confusing because we were told to go to the fifth floor and we could not get there. Once someone told us how it worked it was fine.

I was very disappointed that there was nowhere to get coffee before 7 am.. I’m an early coffee drinker. Either a coffee pot in the lobby or coffee makers in the room are needed. Even Grab and Go didn’t open till 7. A small microwave in Room or lobby station would be nice. I threw away a ton of expensive food because there was no way to warm it up. And lastly you are missing Gideon Bibles in your guest rooms.

Excellent location with clean, spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed amazing views from the higher floor we stayed on. Breakfast had a wide selection, and the staff were very accommodating. Although it was busy, wait times were short if you came between 7–8 am. We never experienced a long wait for the elevator - staying on a higher floor helped, as these are serviced by more elevators during the morning rush. A complimentary chocolate box on my birthday was a very nice touch. Would book again!

The reception staff lacked basic customer service skills on a few occasion. A simple hello to greet guests would be a good start.. Also, the airport shuttle is overpriced; taking an Uber or yellow cab would be a more affordable option.

The staff on reception were really unhelpful - no one was willing to help without making you feel uncomfortable. The lifts/elevators were really crowded - in the mornings it was almost impossible to get a lift down - we walked several times from our 11th floor rooms only to be told by the staff we shouldn’t have done because the stairs were only for emergency use. There are no toilets on the cafe/reception level - same problem with lifts - almost impossible to get to them in the mornings. It’s a bit tired - the towel rail in my sister’s room was attached to the wall by tape. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms

A truly pleasant stay. Excellent location — close to everything yet peaceful. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and satisfying. The window view was stunning, adding calm to each morning. Everything was just as it should be — simply good.

Though the stay was mostly enjoyable, the elevators were a serious issue. During peak hours, especially breakfast time, the wait could stretch to 10–15 minutes. Worse, reaching the breakfast area itself meant standing in line for up to 30 minutes. Poor planning or limited capacity — either way, it felt frustrating and chaotic. A shadow over an otherwise bright experience.
