This was our second stay at Bremsmaj after we stayed one night on our way from the UK to Sweden at Christmas and my 10 year old begged to come back. This time we were travelling back from France and although it was a surprise and I didn't tell him we were staying there again, he did actually ask again if we could go back to Bremsmaj a couple of days before we arrived. We stayed for two nights this time. Apartments are great and have everything you need. There's a shared washing machine which is free to use. The main draw for my kids are the kittens - there were four when we visited and one VERY pregnant cat - but there are also a few rope swings, a slack line, a piano, a few toys and ping pong. We drove to the nearby town one night and had dinner right on the beach. We were on our way back from a Center Parc in France and I honestly think we had a better time at Bremsmaj (more to do that you didn't have to pay for, more relaxing, better facilities) than at CP.

Don't forget your bedlinen, like I have both times we've visited (you can hire it). I think my older teen might have got bored if we'd stayed much longer, although I didn't really investigate day trips too much.

We stayed here overnight for one night on our drive back from the UK to Sweden. It was close to the motorway, great value, easy parking (right outside the front door) and great accommodation. We had our own little apartment with a kitchen/diner, bedroom, bedroom/living room, and a bathroom. It was comfortable, warm and cosy, and my son immediately fell in love with the kittens and demanded we visit again for longer in summer (I have actually booked for a two night stay in summer).

Super minor thing but we couldn't figure out where to put our rubbish. Also, entirely unrelated to the farm but may be helpful to know - if you order pizza online, there are TWO pizzerias in the local area with the same name and only one of them does online orders, so check the address before you drive to it!

Everything went exactly as agreed, the accommodation was smooth and problem-free. A big plus was the possibility to charge our electric car at the wallbox via the Monta app (3.75 DKK/kWh). The location is ideal when travelling to Hirtshals. We also really enjoyed cuddling the cute kittens 🐱. Just a small note – bed linen and towels cost an extra 80 DKK (about €10.70) per person, so it might be better to bring your own.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and had a lovely time. It is a very well maintained working farm out in the country and what I imagine to have been old stables have been made into very comfortable and spacious self contained flats. We had a 2 bedroom flat even though there were only the 2 of us so we had acres of room. We only met the lady owner who was super nice and friendly and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast is not available but there is a full kitchen so I walked across the yard here they sell fresh eco eggs and scrambled eggs were enjoyed on the terrace. There is everything you need included coffee so just remember to bring some food for breakfast. If you want a relaxing weekend in the south of Denmark then this is the place to be.

Nothing can be made better as the hosts have given a lot of thought into making this farmhouse stay a great one for coupes and families alike. Very child friendly

Really nice apartment. We stayed there for 1 night but our son of 3 would have loved to stay longer to play with all the toys. We liked our stay very much.

the curtains could have been a bit better. It was very early light in the children's room

Slept like a baby. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The apartment was clean and modern. And there was a very cute and social cat!!! Nice location and gorgeous drive way.

Have to bring your own bed linen and have to take away your own trash. I really don't feel like this is the guests' responsibility.

We loved our stay, especially our son, loved to play on the farm with tractors and skelters.

The only thing we didn't like that there where no curtains to keep out the light in the morning. At five/six o clock its day.

Large family stay. The children loved the farm, the cats, the games and activities in the communal area. Facilities were perfect.

Everything was perfect for our stay. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

We've had a wonderful time thanks to the great hospitality of Lene and Carsten and all the good tips for sightseeing, beaches and icecream. Our kids enjoyed playing with the animals on the property (especially Benno and the kittens).

The rooms are a bit noisy.

The farm is in an idyllic location despite being close to main roads. The small apartments have everything you could possibly need and the hosts are so welcoming that we've visited for a second time.
