We had a great stay at this hotel that we had booked for three nights for a family mini-vacation. The very nice and friendly owner even gave us a room upgrade for free, which we were very happy about! We got a large and spacious room in the newer building (Hotel Seafront) that had a balcony, two king size beds - one for the parents, and one for the kid, and a gorgeous view over the sea and harbour. The breakfast was good too - regular scandinavian with fresh bread every morning, veggies, eggs, tea, coffee, yoghurt etc. Nothing to complain about there. The hotel is located close to the beach, train station, town centre and other points of interest, such as the Hirtshals Lighthouse.

- No fridge in the room. The staff was however kind enough to let us keep our stuff in their fridge at the front desk. - A kettle with tea/coffee in the room would've been nice. - No fan or AC in the room for hot and sunny days. - No blackout curtains. - The room was in need of some maintenance (a bit worn, stains on rug, broken mirror in bathroom) but nothing overly disturbing.

Location is great, in the center of Hirtshals with a view of the ferry terminal and the harbor. There was some confusion as we arranged the stay some 15 minutes in advance, but that was cleared up quickly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom good. Parking in front of the hotel and free for guests (need a ticket from the hotel).

The hotel room has been updated since the photos were taken on Booking.com. This was a nice surprise. The room was fresh, clean and comfortable with a great view of the town and sea. It was very handy for the ferry, the next day. We ate in the restaurant, the food was good. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and great views. The car park was great for our motorbike, it felt safe there.

Very simple room but sufficient for one night for next day morning ferry. We have a family room and room is big. Nice view out of window and easy to park just outside of the hotel. Breakfast is included and it is really good :) This is the highlight. Room facilities are out of date but it is ok for a short stay. There are not many choices in Hirtshals.

This hotel saved my life, I think, last year, I had a medical condition arriving at the hotel and they called the emergency services for me, after 9 days in hospital and an operation I got safely home and they did not charge me for the stay. Big clean room, Nice breakfast , friendly personal , great harbor view close to the ferry.

Excellent location, spacious room with great view and balcony and comfortable bed. Breakfast basic but charming and lovely view from breakfast room.

Maybe make some of the downstairs function space into more of a welcoming bar and relaxation area.

Location and staff was excellent. Breakfast was okay. I understand it was limited since it was out off season and only three guest. But we will definitely stay there again

Handlo on shower was so big that I turned the water off by hitting it with my back. But I got clean:)

Awesome spot with great views from my ocean view room. Could have big doors open to listen to the surf and seagulls. Breakfast was good and the pub and restaurant adjacent also very satisfying. Would stay here again

Thank you very much for accommodating me so well with early check in. The room was excellent with amazing view and the breakfast was nice. I wish I could stay longer.

That we were able to get into the room after 12 after we called that we weren't able to get here before 12.

We didn't realise it was allowed to park behind the hotel, we paid €30 to park our car after 12, as the staff wasn't at location anymore to give us the ticket for free parking.
