The host was great. Had to return my rental car to an obscure location, he led me over in his car and gave me a ride back to the hotel. Very friendly, well traveled in the US and we swapped lots of fun stories. One interesting thing, he was visiting his daughter who was at university in Seattle and she took him around to some Washington micro-distilleries. He loved them, bought himself a small still and now makes whisky and liquors in the hotel lobby. You can buy tastes and bottles. The room was very large with an oversized bathroom. All the rooms in the Seafront Hotel face the ocean and have an L-shaped balcony that wraps around the corner of the building. Great views over the working harbor and the ferries arriving and departing, as well as great views over the beach and ocean to sunset. The furniture was all flame grain maple veneer and looked great. Comfy bed, both a foam and a feather pillow, good lighting. Extensive breakfast, scrambled eggs and smoked sausage for the less adventurous, a great selection of cheeses, cold meats, herring and breads for others. Nice fruit available as well. All in all, a great place to spend a few days before taking the ferry to the Faroe Islands.

The TV was not receiving the satellite signal. They swapped TV's for us but still no English channels. Seemed to be a provider problem, but it didn't get straightened out. Internet was up and down, didn't effect my PC much but drove my wife crazy on her tablet and phone.

So Hirstal is not a big place and (forgive me if I am wrong) I guess a lot of people travel there on their way to Norway. But this hotel is amazing. The most stunning view you can imagine and the manager is sooooo friendly. Also 1000% safe and secure

I guess a larger breakfast selection may have been nice, but what was there was more than adequate.

I loved it's quirkiness. A still in the lobby and the lay out of the hotel was like none I've been to before but in a good way.

Not the hotel's fault but my balcony was practically over the harbour while there was a festival with loud music until 1am.

Good location - right by the sea with superb views overlooking the sea. Good room size.

Breakfast - can have more variety and longer timings for the breakfast.

We especially enjoyed the view of the harbor from the deck of our fifth floor room. The breakfast was also excellent.

We loved how big the room was and the balcony with a view of the harbour. The location was quiet but still close to everything. We were able to walk both to the lighthouse and the aquarium. The staff were very nice and the stay was lovely! We were staying in Hirtshals incidentally, not as our main destination, but it was worth staying at least two nights or more! It's a very relaxing place to spend a few days.

Wifi was not super fast but that's fine!

From the moment we arrived, our host was very accommodating. He made sure we were comfortable and met every request. The location was perfect for harbor watching. Enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The grilled shrimp kebabs were especially amazing.

Great stay in a very nice hotel. The terrace with the viez are fantastic. Great bathroom and room is quite big. Easy parking and access to hotel.

The bed was confortable but the mattress protection sheets are too small and not adapted therefore you finish your night on the mattress itself which is not great and hygienic.

Greeted with a cold bottle of wine as music festival was on. We had driven 1100kms and the town was the perfect place to rest before our onward journey to Trondheim. Looking forward to staying t again in a couple of Weeks on our way home.

I had a room in the new tower, very comfortable and clean with a great bathroom. it only needed a kettle/coffee machine and blackout curtains to make it perfect. Good location close to train station and ferry port.
