Lovely old hotel. Room was a really good size. Quiet and relaxing. Comfortable bed. Great location in the town and perfect for everywhere we wanted to go. All the Staff were great. Really helpful.

No kettle in room and when we got back quite late, would have liked to have made our own hot drink, instead of paying to use the machine in reception. Thought this would have been included in the room. Found pillows uncomfortable. Room could do with a bit of a better clean. Bathroom has scale build up.

Great location, clearly with some history to it, parking facilities were great, even if quite difficult to find (Google maps do NOT agree with the location indicated in Booking.com)

It's quite old in design, with barely any power outlets and those that were, were tied to general power switches, so turning off lights could easily end up shutting off charging phones. Sound insulation wasn't great. It's a little overpriced for what it is, but I guess no big surprise considering the location.

Breakfast was good, standard continental type food. There was a wait to be seated sign but everyone including myself ignored it because there were no staff around. Location is right in the heart of the high street which was perfect for me doing Epic Fest.

Heating was on in my room despite it being warm outside, didn't notice when I checked it. Opened the window that night and the old external bit rattled. Low shower pressure but all of this is being picky.

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful after we needed to shift rooms due to a booking mixup.The breakfast was extremely good with wonderful selection Timon of danish breads and pastries. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent food and service.( we ate there twice)Parking very convenient just behind the hotel

Some of the rooms are very old and in need of renovation. Care with booking essential. The rooms at the back wing of the hotel are spacious and light. No tea and coffee in the rooms

This hotel is centrally located; however, it was hard to find due to some road construction nearby. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and Cafés. We ate at one of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed a 10% discount. After dinner, we enjoyed a nice evening walk. There is plenty to see and do in Roskilde. The Viking Ships Museum was the highlight of our short visit. We were thankful for the room upgrade!

The shower curtain was too short, which caused a wet floor after showering.

The room was clean, comfortable, and the style of the hotel decor is very quaint which fits the town atmosphere. I really liked the staff, they were helpful and friendly. The art in the rooms was a nice touch.

Since the style of the hotel is a bit dated, some things could use a bit of maintenance to give them a fresher look.

We liked the central location in Roskilde. We liked the quiet location for a good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and polite and helpful. The breakfast was especially good. We will visit again if the opportunity to visit again arises.

Great town location. Right in the middle of the main precinct. Free 24 hour parking all bookable when you walk in (and allowed to stay after check out as long as you declared when entering details). Self check in available at the main desk. We requested a kettle in the room and it was there waiting for us to collect. Our room had double doors to a balcony which was fantastic to see our hire car and ventilation during the heat wave. We had a twin room and just pulled the beds apart for more room. Room was clean and tidy although we couldn’t work out how to get the sockets to turn on when the switch is at the door. I had to go to reception to ask. The room was good value. However breakfast was around £14 each and too basic for us. Very limited options. Best ask before ordering if you’re a fussy eater. Bedding lovely and clean and fresh. Bathroom (private) clean, white towels, and hot shower. Would definitely stay again for another city break.

Finding the carpark!!! It was the worst one I have ever had to find as the postcode did not help. 4 laps later of the one way system and driving at 10 mph we found the tiny left turn into the correct area to go right under the tiny arch to park. 4 spaces were there. However, super secure when found. Breakfast was too limiting - we paid extra as to fill us up before a busy day but we were hungry by lunch. Not the hotels fault but the town is dead after 9pm and there is no way of getting any food, however it does mean the area is very quiet even though you’re in the middle of it. Room was slightly dated with its dark wooden decor, however we were told this is the renovated side. Lift was broken however stairs are wide with good rails.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and the location is fantastic. The main high street is on your doorstep that leads to the different attractions and to the festival venue. I also loved how well they cater for different allergens at breakfast.

I liked almost everything about this stay. Not far from the train station and the Viking ships a pleasant 20 min? Walk downhill there, and equally pleasant uphill walk back. Friendly staff who let me leave a bag early, nice room overlooking pedestrian walk (quiet, good windows), and clean.

Nice place, glad I could stay, but felt a little over- priced.
